You have some nerve. ActionSA’s Mayor has already acknowledged responsibility for the mess we find ourselves in and apologised for it. So, ingenaphi iEFF?
Instead of deflecting, perhaps you should be asking why the Mayor’s negligence allowed the situation to deteriorate to this point. The fact that people were placed at risk and are now receiving assistance at healthcare facilities run by the EFF should be a source of gratitude, not an opportunity to shift blame. You should be saying, “THANK YOU, EFF!”
For how long will you continue using the EFF as a political shield? When it suits you, you proudly boast about the EFF’s contributions to the coalition. But the moment ActionSA’s failures come under scrutiny, you suddenly expect the EFF to account for them. How convenient.
Le te tlwaeditse nonsense. You cannot claim credit for the coalition’s successes while outsourcing accountability for your Mayor’s failures to the EFF. The EFF is not your political insurance policy, nor is it responsible for covering up ActionSA’s failure to act.
A coalition is a partnership, not an escape route from accountability. If your Mayor has failed in her responsibilities, have the courage to confront that failure instead of dragging the EFF into the mess to protect ActionSA from political consequences.
You cannot have it both ways: fail to celebrate the EFF when it delivers and claim the work of EFF as your own; and then blame the EFF when your OWN side falls short. Take responsibility for your Mayor’s record. Stop deflecting, stop hiding, and stop insulting the public’s intelligence with this selective accountability.
While Executive Mayor Nasiphi Moya is going around reassuring residents of Bronkhorstspruit that the city is managing the water crisis and dealing with sick residents, the MMC of health is nowhere to be found.
The 433 people of Tshwane must remember that they were neglected mid crisis by this MMC who absconded and went to run to open cases while they needed her in the health department.
On the 4th of November, Tshwane you must do best.
