A sneak peek behind the scenes watching Tim Davies from Clare Media beautifully capture our latest 'Help Seeking' Video series. He had a wonderful way of making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed while capturing some pretty personal and powerful stories. These videos wouldn’t have been what they were without Tim’s eye, patience and ability to just quietly get on with it. Thanks Tim for the beautiful footage and for surviving the flies! “That first phone call can change your world overnight.” After enduring drought, divorce and the loss of his father, Peterborough pastoralist Michael found himself carrying more than he could manage alone. What helped wasn't having all the answers, it was reaching out and having someone to talk to. Today, Michael's message to others is simple: "Don't get stuck in your own head. There are people out there, and asking for help could be the first step to getting your life back on track." “Ninety per cent of the work is just starting the conversation.” As a rural GP, Dr Justin speaks with farmers every day who are carrying more than they let on. Often it's not until the conversation starts that the real challenges emerge. His message is simple: you don't need to have all the answers before asking for help. Sometimes all you need to say is, "I'm struggling." Check out all the help seeking videos via weatherittogether.org.au/sto… #WeatherItTogether #AskForHelp #FarmerWellbeing #ifarmwell

“I woke up one morning in a panic and couldn’t get out of bed.” For South East farmer Ashley, years of business pressures, family health challenges and personal loss had slowly built up until he realised something needed to change. Ashley reached out to his local GP, spoke with friends and sought professional support. Today, he says one of the biggest lessons he’s learned is that he can only control himself and that looking after his own wellbeing has made him a better husband, father, farmer and friend. His message to other farmers is simple: If things don’t feel right, it’s okay to ask for help. #WeatherItTogether #AskForHelp #FarmerWellbeing #ifarmwell

Tomorrow (Thursday 9/7/26), we’ll share the first of five new #WeatherItTogether reels featuring farmers who have sought professional mental health support and are willing to talk about it publicly. These stories have taken courage to tell. When the reels are released, please get around those involved- give them a like or leave a comment, and help show that farming communities value good mental health and each other. 💚 Together, we can help break down stigma and make it easier for more people to realise that seeking professional help is a really smart thing to do for yourself, your family, your business and your community. Whatever the season, we can #WeatherItTogether #AskForHelp #ifarmwell
