Today, we are open-sourcing the Innate OS, the intuitive agentic OS for general-purpose robots 🎮 Try it today in our simulator and make the smartest robot ⬇️ Here is a demo with two robots collaborating We are entering the physical agents era, but building for mobile robots is still reserved for PhDs. We designed the Innate OS for intuitiveness, so that everyone can start automating their lives. Innate OS runs on our <$1k open-source robot or on your computer. It takes just a minute to build your first agent in our simulator.

Late to the party, but this surprised me: gave GPT-6 Astra control of an Innate MARS robot with one prompt. No code, no task setup. Full nav + manipulation on its own. Picked its own sensors, found the purple ball, and put it in the dish. Video at 2x. @innate_bot @OpenAI

Meet MARS. Your first agentic robot. A small, portable robot you can teach like an AI agent, except now that agent can see, move, manipulate, and interact with the physical world. @innate_bot

RT @satishgoda: Thank you @innate_bot for open sourcing innate-os. I started exploring the codebase using @grok @bot @cursor_ai cloud agent…

Innate is a team of 7 building capable robots for everyday life. "The seven of us here do the work of 50," says Vignesh Anand, co-founder of @innate_bot. We spent time with the team to capture what building means to them.

We fine-tuned @bfl_ai Flux 3 Action in simulation and... it worked Code and report soon This is a pretty crazy model!
First results: @bfl_ai Flux 3 Action doing mobile manipulation on @innate_bot MARS 👇 We finetuned the SO101 checkpoint and replaced the action head with our 8DoF (5 arm, 1 gripper, 2 base) Generated synthetic episodes in innate-os sim, with randomised positions and height of the box

Okay builders, we have some new hardware to play with. Meet MARS from @innate_bot I have a lot of experiments in mind. What are we building first?

As AI model become good enough to control even mobile robots, we can make them compete with each other In surprising results, our team finds that smaller Gemini 3.8 Flash beats GPT-6 Astra at capture the flag
We made GPT-6 Astra and Gemini 3.8 Flash play capture the flag on real robots while roasting each other and... Gemini won 70% of the time! Here is a flaming Gemini win, more in the thread This is surprising given the recent astra hype, but not entirely. Findings below ⬇️

Got a robot running? @innate_bot founder @ax_pey shows his. I said last week that it is the Apple II of robots. Says it is more like Apple I with their Apple II in labs.

Open-source agentic robots <1$k running Innate OS can communicate and collaborate! Get a robot and start prompting it!
one agentic robot leads another to clean up a room they communicate by voice and the lead organizes watch until the end :) funny to me how the lead repeats the follower's name, and how they self-congratulate it's one of my favorite things with agentic robots, they feel so alive

i see a lot of researchers calling the "astra for robotics" hype a fad, because it's not made for low-level control and is too slow compared to WAMs / VLAs i think they are missing the point no one is fooled by the fact that videos are sped up 50x, and yes there are many things it can't do, and yes it's too expensive for real repeated usage but: • there are still a LOT of slow tasks it can do that are valuable • give it 6 months to a year for the price to go down and speed to go up • the coolest thing: you can literally start with it in minutes • and at least it's out and available to everyone these last 2 points are more important than the first 2, and the physical AI labs should get inspired by astra in that regards
