We built the lab that's able to go from AI-led drug design to data in 24h. GPT-8 won't be bottlenecked by intelligence. It needs a biological compute layer. This is Capable. We're turning AI capabilities into human capabilities--starting with short-sleeper peptides.

Reducing sleep will be the first major lifespan extender.
glad someone is tackling this! making a drug for shorter sleep (mod. downsides) could increase (awake) lifespan by 15-20%

We love Julian
I’ve been extremely impressed following the journey of Capable, visiting their lab space and chatting to the team - their turn around speed is mind blowing, everyone is super smart, and they tackle the most challenging and ambitious problems first!

Our contribution to humanity would be wasted if we didn’t choose hard quests.
Replying to @isaakfreeman
@isaakfreeman is a one in 10 million founder, but he is also actually directing his ability towards solving the problems that actually matter for humanity. BIG congratulations on the launch - give him money, go join his team.

Based. CFS is high on our list too.
CAPABLE gives me a lot of hope. Amazing team, who isn’t afraid to redefine what is now possible when it comes to drug development. Glad to be supporting them.

Come build the automation with us!
They’re doing the obvious thing that everyone should be doing but nobody is doing and are doing it faster Make peptide -> test in mouse (1day turnaround) Bullish. Very impressed with their lab and the automation they’re progressing towards!

Harvard Medical School quoted us 6-month timelines to set up in vivo work. Helena took 14 days. A joy to be working together.
We must use frontier intelligence for good: to cure disease, protect life, and enable humans to flourish. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this.

Thanks for being an early believer.
24 hours from AI-designed drug to real lab data is insane. So excited to be working with @isaakfreeman, @helenarose, @geochurch, and the rest of the incredible Capable team!

Human recursive self-improvement.
this is an extremely capable team what will happen when they’re further enhanced???

I chose to partner with 50 Years because they deeply care about enabling humanity to flourish and making their founders the best versions of themselves. On every single step along the way they double and triple down. Couldn't recommend Seth & the team more.
The crazy headline is the 24 hour turnaround from AI design to in-vivo data. But everything that's gone into that is what makes Capable special. 132 interviews for one hire. A second orthogonal system to validate every surprising result. Bringing in external labs to check their wins. @isaakfreeman sleeping on the office floor through every crisis. He and his co-founder @helenarose skipping their own salaries for six months even after a $12M raise. Wild speed, intense rigor, unbounded audacity.

Thank you for flying in from London on short notice to help us run critical mouse experiments. You're a treasure.
So excited for this to be out in the world. Rooting for you @isaakfreeman

Leveraging the models to enable humans to do more will create multiple trillion-dollar categories for drug development.
I am unbelievably excited for the world where Capable succeeds. "Ozempic for sleep" alone would be a trillion-dollar drug that would add ~a decade of effective lifespan to anyone who takes it.

The physical layer is the bottleneck
one of the most exciting avenues for model progress to improve our lives is its impact on health that will come from giving models the "biological compute" to run experiments and accelerate discovery i can think of no one better to do this than the team at capable

Thank you for the amazing work together.
The biology lab of the future delivers drug development feedback loops in under 24 hours. Capable compiles frontier intelligence into frontier medicines. We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Capable founders @isaakfreeman & @helenarose and the whole lab to produce a brand as awe-inspiring as their mission. More below!
