every @isometricfi trade is an option spread the pool sells. long = call spread, short = put spread
fully collateralised. on open the pool locks enough robinhood:0x5fc5360d0400a0fd4f2af552add042d716f1d168 for your max payout and it stays locked until settlement
Isometric settles in @global_dollar USDG natively issued on @arbitrum and Robinhood Chain.
You see your max payout before you trade, and that USDG is set aside the moment you open.
If the price goes your way, it's already there and lands in your wallet.
Profit above $80,502. Settle above that and you're up.
Worthless at or below $77,438. Settle there and the $1,000 is gone, but that's the most you can lose.
In between, you get part of it back.
Order book options platforms need a buyer and seller for every strike and expiry. Most never meet.
@isometricfi has no book. One robinhood:0x5fc5360d0400a0fd4f2af552add042d716f1d168 pool prices all 16k strikes on demand from a live price oracle, adapting to volatility as it moves.
So you pick any leverage and duration and get a price, with no counterparty to wait for.
I don't think trading options should look like this
Most traders have a simple view, like BTC up this week. They should trade it with three choices: direction, leverage and a date. Something closer to perps
That's what we're building at @isometricfi
