Bro if my DistroKid earnings for Spotify are also delayed this month (haven’t gotten paid them balm yet when they usually arrive atm) I am going to actually lose it. I GOT PAID 25% OF MY CHECK BRO.

I always get the occasional comment whenever I do short form content with my face in it like “WOW I didn’t expect you to look like this 😮” I don’t read into it too much but what did you guys expect me to look like THIS???

JESUS CHRIST - I’m very happy this collab has been doing insanely well, we all elevated this year to new heights and it’s great we’re being rewarded for it.

Imagine getting half of your paycheck docked for two months straight but instead of having the courtesy of an explanation from your boss, you get a sticky note that says “they’ll be back shortly 😃👍!”. The DistroKid situation is a reality check for us independent artists that we are one royal fuck up away from losing it all.

And this from a person that HAS their music diversified. I claim royalties from three different distribution platforms yet this still hurts me - it really puts into perspective how scary it is to be fully relying on your art and if I didn’t have a support circle I would be screwed from paying bills on time
