In case you’re already penciling in the Bengals game as a loss for the Steelers in a couple of weeks: ā¬‡ļø #HereWeGo
We are now at 0-5. Next team to face this brutal scheduling quirk: Cincinnati. • Bengals will play in Spain in Week 9 • Steelers have a bye in Week 9 • Bengals vs. Steelers in Week 10 #Panthers #Eagles

If Dak does become available next offseason, I would 100% expect the Steelers to try & trade for him. #HereWeGo
š—„š—Øš— š—¢š—„š—¦: This could be Dak Prescott’s last season with the Cowboys if the team continues to struggle, per @CSimmsQB ā€œThere have been murmurs that Dallas is at the end of their rope with Dak, things better turn around or he ain’t gonna be the QB there.ā€

Here's what the film from Pittsbrugh's dominant Week 8 win vs. the Browns tells me about Aaron Rodgers & this new Steelers defense under Patrick Graham: ā¬‡ļøšŸ”Š @ChatSports piped.video/watch?v=dhEigc0S…

Everyone knows that winning the line of scrimmage is the key to winning at the NFL level. Right now, there arguably isn't a team that is better at winning the line of scrimmage on BOTH sides of the ball right now than the Pittsburgh Steelers. #HereWeGo

Want to make clear that I am NOT predicting this is actually going to happen, but especially if Lamar Jackson's injury ends up being season ending, there is a legitimate path for the Steelers to win up to 14 games in the regular season this year. And if this Steelers team that is currently 4-0 at home this year gets home field advantage in the playoffs...šŸ‘€ #HereWeGo

I hate to be the party pooper here, Steelers fans... But I just don't see any reason why the New York Jets would even think about trading Garrett Wilson to the Steelers this year barring a trade request before the deadline, which does not remotely likely at this point. - Wilson is easily New York's best WR & is only 26 years old. - They have him under contract through 2030 (4 more years past this one). - If they're gonna be drafting a QB soon (and they will be), don't you think the Jets would want to give that guy a legitimate established #1 WR to work with? - Are Aaron Rodgers & Garrett Wilson really on the best of terms? If I remember correctly, there was rumors that Wilson would have requested a trade out of NYJ if Rodgers returned for another season. - Because of Wilson's combination of youth, talent, contract & value to the Jets, my guess is the price tag to trade for him would be not only a 1st round pick, but probably another high draft pick, possibly even another 1st rounder. IMO, Josh Downs remains the most realistic & sensible option on the WR trade market for the Steelers. #HereWeGo

Something I *really* liked about the Steelers defensive gameplan this week was they played Daylen Everette as their dime slot CB. The Steelers are actually quite good running man coverage out of dime because it allows Ramsey to man up tight end instead of slot wide receivers. Usually it's Brandin Echols who comes in to play the dime slot role, but with him dealing with a hamstring injury, the Steelers implemented Everette in that role quite a bit this week & it held up quite nicely, especially because PIT gave him inside robber help. #HereWeGo

Certainly looks like a miscommunication of some sort here. Hard to know for sure what goes wrong wrong, but RSJ & Dean certainly play this as if it’s Cover 3, so that means either ASJ or Everette needs to get to the deep third, but on a 3rd & 3 both are playing aggressive to the sticks. My best guess is this one’s on ASJ, tho. #HereWeGo

This feels like a play on a 3rd & 5 where if it was last year under Tomlin/Austin, there would have been a miscommunication of sorts & it would have been an easy TD to Jeudy on the short crosser. Steelers are in Cover 1 robber here & the motion into a dirty bunch does a really good job manufacturing separation between Jerry Jeudy & his man defender (ASJ), but a really good job by the robber zone defender (Brisker) to take that coming across the field, and the rest of the coverage holds up across the board. The coverage here allows PIT’s excellent pass rush to wreak havoc here. A beautiful symbiotic relationship resulting in a huge redzone stop. #HereWeGo

Patrick Queen has played All-Pro caliber football over the last 2 weeks. He is really coming into his own in Patrick Graham's defense. #HereWeGo

Another fun design from PG to get a quick pressure on Watson. This is the same ā€˜field pressure’ Seattle likes to use with Devon Witherspoon & Graham pairs this with Tampa 2 on the back end. Another half second and this could’ve been a disaster for the Browns. #HereWeGo

Might as well give us the Lombardi now. šŸ˜‚ #HereWeGo
The Steelers enter their bye week at 6-2 and in FIRST in the AFC North... Other times the Steelers have started 6-2: šŸ† 2008 - Won Super Bowl šŸ† 2005 - Won Super Bowl šŸ† 1979 - Won Super Bowl Another ring for Rodgers before retiring?! šŸ‘€

Patrick Graham’s defense has become such a delight to watch on film every week. First 3rd down of the game here & PG dials up an ā€˜all up’ pre-snap pressure look, threatening Cover 0, then inserts Brisker late to create the overload free pressure on Watson while dropping Watt & Herbig in coverage. Brisker gets called for the roughing the passer on this hit, but this is evil genius level scheming from Graham on a money down. #HereWeGo

For some reason the Steelers pass the ball here on a 3rd & 2 when they have the best rushing offense in football, but even if we put that aside, this is there to get it to DK for a 1st within structure, but Rodgers for some reason doesn’t pull the trigger & throws a sinker to his rookie fullback on the move who ends up dropping it. Should be a pretty easy 3rd down conversion to keep the drive moving. Instead, the drive ends in a punt. #HereWeGo

This is the worst thing about the Steelers offense this year and it’s not particularly close… #HereWeGo

There is just no way this shouldn’t be a 68 yard TD to Metcalf, yet somehow this ends up being an interception. Now, DK is 100% responsible for the drop leading to the interception, but this also isn’t even close to a good throw from Rodgers. If 8 hits him even remotely in stride, this is an easy house call. Instead, Aaron threw this yards behind where he should have & even if DK catches it, he’s probably gonna get tackled. This passing game on the whole is not good enough to squander free TD opportunities like this. #HereWeGo

This pass to DK Metcalf was intercepted…there isn’t a defender within 10 yards of him when Rodgers releases this. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø #HereWeGo

What’s even better is they got them AGAIN on this later in the game šŸ˜‚ #HereWeGo
The Steelers didn’t have a ton going in the passing game yesterday (and they didn’t need to), but this was an awesome schematic wrinkle from Big Mike. PIT has been setting this up for weeks throwing these WR screens with Darnell in motion, so when CLE keys in on that, the 300+ pound TE can get lost down the field. Everyone is talking about how good PIT’s run game is (and for good reason), but schematically the best think McCarthy has brought to Pittsburgh has been the screen game. #HereWeGo
