Your identity transforms to the degree you immerse yourself in a new environment (mental or physical). If you want to become an entrepreneur, you should flood your consciousness with audiobooks, podcasts, tweets, and books from entrepreneurs, and you should go put yourself in cities, masterminds, or retreats where they hang out. The same thinking can be applied for any type of transformation. The people, energy, emotions, and ideas you immerse yourself in will seep into your mind and body to the point where transformation becomes inevitable, and you didn't even have to try. When you're immersed in something, you transform as a natural process of osmosis, like how a child learns a language effortlessly when raised in a household that speaks a tongue natively, or how a species evolves in response to a new danger in the environment it inhabits. Evolution is a part of your nature, so long as you put yourself in the right environment with conditions that push you to evolve.

I love reading children’s fiction because it connects me back to the most pure, imaginative, and wondrous version of myself. It’s very good for my spirit, especially amidst carrying the weight of challenges in business and worrying about the future of the world (as we all do).

You could be just a few iterations away from everything going exponential. The only way to find out is to keep going.

It is your moral duty to call out deception and falsehood. It is the only way to preserve truth, authenticity, and integrity in business, social media, and broader society.

The New Renaissance belongs to those who double down on their human creativity and authentic connection while optimizing their output and productivity with Agentic AI and technology. We will be able to create things that, in any other time period in human history, would not have only have been impossible, but inconceivable. We are at the beginning of infintiy, and our future will be shaped by those who know how to wield the tools of the modern age without losing connection to what makes them uniquely human.

Your favorite creator doesn't care about you. You are just another pawn in their game, and they will do whatever they can to manipulate your attention, convert your fears into money, and teach you how to do the same to others. This is the foundation much of the "creator economy" is built on. Very rarely is anything real is being created. It is mostly empty words and an aesthetic pile of sand.

Let competition fuel your fire. If it's there, it's there for a reason. It's asking to be channeled into something worthwhile and noble, so long as you use it, and it does not use you.

Your energy levels have very little to do with your sleep score or HRV and almost everything to do with how connected you are to purpose, mission, and people.

The reason I love basketball is that it is a pure, flow based, sport. Constant motion. Unbounded creativity. A balancing of masculine drive and feminine fluidity. Technical skills combined with artistic flair. This combination is why we become (in awe) of Kyrie Irving’s handles, MJ’s dunks, or Jason Williams’s passing. Basketball is poetry in motion. I never played beyond freshman year of high school, but I always said if I was 6’2 or taller, I might’ve had a chance. 😂

Across all human time periods, saying what you actually think has always been a pure demonstration of courage.

If you have a big idea and want to bring it into reality, you’ll have to repeat yourself over and over again, in subtly different ways, and tell people about it extensively to the point where some will call you crazy — and sometimes you will think you’re crazy. These are features of innovation, not bugs. The subtly different explanations force clarity in your thinking, and the massive pool of misunderstanding / rejection is how you filter for and find your early adopters. Go relentlessly.

My take on the social media landscape in 2026: X is becoming less relevant for building a solopreneur-style business and more relevant for being seen as a thought leader in the broader technological / political / economic game. Why? Because the nature of what the platform is being built upon is news. If your business is on the cutting edge of technology, it’s probably the best place to be (digital SF). If not, look elsewhere (you won’t be able to keep up). Instagram is very interesting. I am seeing it is the best and easiest place to make real connections. If your business is based on real connection, I think it’s the best place to be. Substack is the “new opportunity” for creator economy folks that would have hopped into money Twitter back in 2021. A lot of people are hacking the algorithm here like they did back in those days of Twitter with “value posting.” I see a lot of potential here as well because of the opportunity to go deeper with people who care about your writing, and building deeper connections with those people. However they are adopting short form video and notes and so it probably becomes an edgy little brother or artistic little sister of X once the viral trend jacking dies out. LinkedIn is also interesting. I think there is big potential for LinkedIn to bring more “normal” 9-5 workers into in person events, innovative ideas, alternative income streams, and alternative wellness opportunities. There is also a lot of money there if you can play it right. YouTube is probably still king for the mix of entertainment / value / authority / trust. If X or IG were to build a subset of their platforms for exclusively long form video, they might overtake them because the platforms are fundamentally built on more interactions and accessible distribution. This is just my take based on how I see these platforms evolving, and how my relationship with them has evolved. Even though much of my business has shifted over to Instagram and Substack, X is still the first and most natural place I go to post a thought — and the place that I think is most important to build on in terms of social media (the smartest and most powerful people in the world are here). That is, until, something new arises.

I find myself falling in love with Bali in a similar way that I fell in love with Pai, Koh Phangan and San Fransisco. It’s different from the feeling of traveling through a place temporarily and admiring and enjoying it. It’s something a bit deeper.

Your ability to connect with people is directly proportional to the depth of connection you have with yourself

There is doubt at every level of the game. The only thing that changes is you get much more skilled, and much more courageous.
