Good question The vault on the site is made from one signature of a fixed message by the wallet you connect. Connecting alone gives nothing away, but any site that gets you to sign that same message can rebuild your vault and move what's in it. Only ever sign it on Ord Dropz. Safest setup: make a fresh vault in the Shielded wallet and send everything into it. That vault is created on your device and isn't tied to any wallet signature, so there's nothing to phish. Your 24 words are the key itself. Whoever has them owns the vault, and they won't open in a normal Bitcoin wallet, so keep them offline. The bigger point: on Bitcoin the signature is the attack. On Ethereum. Scam NFTs send you to a site where you sign an approval, and that approval lets a contract move your tokens whenever it wants. Bitcoin has no approvals. Nothing moves unless you sign that exact transaction, and once it's signed it can't be changed. If anything doesn't match what you signed, the network rejects it. So read what you sign, every time. That's why I think Bitcoin is the most secure chain. It's the simplest, and that same simplicity makes it the hardest to build on. Same rule as any browser wallet: be careful what you download. If someone gets remote access to your machine, no protocol can save you. On the protocol side, no server ever holds your vault key or your pieces. Ownership lives on Bitcoin, there's no database of user keys sitting somewhere to breach. The drains you see in the mempool are bots taking advantage of badly built transactions and leaked keys.
