I’m only working 50+ hours a week in the hopes that eventually I can spend most of my time in the intense seclusion of my study, or as a flâneur meditating in cafés.
Sometimes you read a primary source from the late Republic and just think yeah I’m definitely supposed to live in a villa on the Bay of Naples away from these people and only visit the city once a year to collect my grain dole and remind them who actually pays for the legions.
