Today, I am giving God all the glory for another year of sobriety. And I am reposting the same message I shared a year ago.
I am humbled and eternally grateful for the unmerited grace and the unconditional love of my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
“And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3
I have no words that aptly describe what Jesus has done for me since I surrendered my life to him. Life still holds challenges and heartbreak and moments and seasons that seem unfair and insurmountable. But I have known since that day that I, and that WE are not alone.
Because …”in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
“…We are more than conquerors, through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
In light of all the troubles that are out there today I lovingly ask of you to bend your knee, fold your hands and focus your eyes on Jesus. Ask him to come into your life and then walk with him in gratitude as you feel his joy enter your life.
If you or someone you know is suffering from addiction, anxiety, depression or just needs a helping hand please let them know there is hope and that life is SO much better in the light of our Lord. We are here to help & serve our brothers and sisters. So pick up the phone, visit them, get them the help they need!
I also want to honor my beautiful wife Kim Henning Minderman and my incredible sons Emmett, Griffin & Wes for standing by my side and continuing to inspire me to be a better man than I was yesterday.
Life is SO good, if you let it be.
