Calling all observable lovers! There’s an important meeting in Dublin next week deciding on the future of observables in the browser, and @BenLesh is going on his own dime to fight the good fight for *cold* observables! Most attendees are from large companies like Google who cover costs (thousands of dollars), but no one is as important as Ben to make sure we get the design right to make a more resilient web possible. So if you’ve benefitted from his work on rxjs, or care about getting observables done right natively, kick a few bucks to sponsor his advocacy via travel expenses. Venmo: venmo.com/u/BenLesh

Task-based "affected" is a big deal. Not because of what's there today, but because of what will be there in two weeks. Our next-gen cache is becoming GA. It gives you much more precise inputs and, as a result, a much more precise "affected." For example, most changes will only affect some atomized e2e tests => Huge compute savings.
🚀 Nx 23.3 is out. - Task-based nx affected - Agent-friendly task output - Batched Oxlint runs - Faster project graph creation - Cypress 16, Vitest 5, pnpm 12 And more. All the details 👇 nx.dev/blog/nx-23-3-release

A 3-person platform team runs CI for a 600+ project Nx monorepo. With Nx Agents on Nx Cloud they: - maintain half the CI config and don't re-shard as new projects land - trust the cache again, thanks to task sandboxing How @WeAreLegora got there: nx.dev/blog/legora-success-s…

Absolutely crazy that these two GitHub Actions which were quarantined could be reactivated with the malware still armed. Many of the these workflows run on a cron without any true repository activity trigging them.
🚨 Two GitHub Actions compromised in May’s Mini Shai-Hulud campaign are running malware again. The repositories were re-enabled with malicious release tags intact, putting thousands of downstream repositories at risk. socket.dev/blog/mini-shai-hu…

Given the current explosion of PRs, distribution on CI is a must. But when hundreds of tasks spread across machines it can get tricky to stay on top of what needs your attention. Now you can, introducing the new Timeline View. nx.dev/blog/nx-cloud-timelin…

Haven't tweeted in weeks. I've been heads down with my team on some key improvements to Nx Cloud. The result: the same workload needs less than 50% of compute than traditional CI (compute is a polite word for $$$), and it runs much faster. #monorepos @NxDevTools

We've got some huge CI performance features coming to Nx Cloud soon, but @victorsavkin won't let me talk about them yet, so all I can do is tweet this censored graphic of one feature.

With AI being non-deterministic and pushing 10x the amount of code, enforcing consistency is more important than ever. Custom code generators can be one mechanism to counter that: - more token-efficient - deterministic - let AI agents create & run them nx.dev/blog/agent-extract-nx…

Finally another CEO with style; it was getting lonely.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
