Same word. Same voice. Different meaning. 👀

📄🔓New preprint with Alex Titus, @chen_zhou151, and @Peeters_David! We showcase Virtual Reality as a powerful method for studying language and cognition. We discuss key concepts, map out current research areas, and provide a practical starter guide. osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/s2…
By combining rigorous exp control with the ecological validity of immersive, multimodal 3D envs, #VR lets us investigate real-world communicative behaviour (bilingual language switching, predictive processing, social presence, gesture etc) in ways traditional paradigms cannot.
The final version will appear in the upcoming Bloomsbury Handbook of Language and Cognition, edited by @hartmast & @laurajspeed . Very excited to be part of this collection!
