May 26, 201: Hamas Chief Sinwar thanked his sponsors. Biggest thanks went to Islamic Republic of Iran for making everything possible, followed by Qatar, Turkey and Egypt. He was surprised by the generosity of the Kuwaitis.
Transcript:
The Egyptian brothers—we thank them—have announced an initiative, and they possess welcome preparations. The Qatari brothers have an extensive history in this regard, and their generosity is well-established; we are confident they will continue with open hearts and minds, and we will pave the way for them.
The Turkish brothers, and the Kuwaiti brothers as well, have mobilized wonderfully, gathering a very significant amount, and we have trust in our Kuwaiti people and other Arabs and Muslims.
We will leave the door open for everyone to contribute to reviving the economy and providing a chance for life for our people in the Gaza Strip. We will not restrict anyone, nor will we ask anyone for a single penny for Hamas or the Al-Qassam Brigades.
Hamas and Al-Qassam have their own sources and revenues, meaning they do not need to take from the aid funds, grants, or reconstruction wealth.
Furthermore, there is a word that must be said on this occasion: All thanks are due to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has not fallen short over the past years, neither with us nor with other Palestinian resistance factions, in terms of money, weapons, and expertise.
And support in all fields, by the grace of God Almighty.
They have had a great favor and stood with us, truly. Even if they were not physically present on the ground, they were with us through this capability with which we struck the enemy and deeply destabilized them.
