Ha, if only proponents of ballot initiatives could pick their own numbers for symbolic purposes.
Initiative 86 was initially Initiative 85, but the first version had to be withdrawn and re-submitted, getting it a new number.
I just noticed that Initiative 86 (to ban the sale of foie gras in DC) is like 86ing something from the menu...
Pro-Animal, which introduced the initiative, tells me this is completely coincidental.
