decentralized bitcoin mining enthusiast

Sent a few miners to @IxTechCrypto, and got them all back fully repaired less than a week later. During that time I received several detailed updates, photos, test results, and explanations. Chris also cleaned everything so they arrived looking brand-new and ready to go. Can’t say enough good things about IX Tech. These guys are as top-tier as top-tier gets. Thank you, IX Tech!

Two things about Heatbit’s Bitair: 1. As an air purifier, it works exceptionally well. While the vape fumes test may appear idiotic, the difference between lingering vape fumes and chemical fruit flavoring with and without the device running was significant. 2. There’s Bitcoin miner hidden in this thing. It serves no real purpose in terms of air purification, it’s just sort of in there. If you don’t want someone to know you’re solo mining, this is a pretty good way to hide it. I’m all for hiding Bitcoin miners inside of things, so I like it.

I received a Foundation phishing email, however I have never used this email to purchase Foundation products, interact with, or correspond with them in any way. Foundation didn’t leak my data, because they never had it to begin with. This incident would’ve occurred regardless of whatever security protocols they had in place. There’s a war going on to destroy self custody. Stay vigilant. Trust no one.

I went to my friend’s vape shop this morning to pick up a strawberry-flavored vape thing to test out this Heatbit air purifier. So make sure to follow if you want to see a fully grown man blow vape clouds at a Bitcoin miner for “science!”

The masters of miner repairs at @IxTechCrypto brought my QX back to life! I got the “got it fixed” email before I got the delivery confirmation email. Thanks, Chris!

I joked about CatCard being the “ColdCard x Mt Gox collab” but after spending weeks going down a self custody research rabbit hole I like this more and more especially as part of a multi-vendor/sig setup. @MagicalTux isn’t getting enough credit for this one, but it’s pretty impressive.

We all jumped the gun on Heatbit’s new Bitwater device. Doing the math on this, it will use more electricity than running two traditional heating elements. I still think ideas like this are headed in the right direction, but there were many instances here of hype being substituted for real world data and we just do not have the full picture, at least not yet.

Household items becoming Bitcoin miners is the next big thing, and I’m really exited about it. More on @heatbit_com’s new release: piped.video/u0HU5nH9QnM

This is 100% the future of home mining; using electricity you were already using anyway. Bravo, @heatbit_com!
Introducing Bitwater: the water heater element that mines Bitcoin. It screws into the electric tank you already have. Physically decentralized mining that runs no matter what 🧵 Heat water. Mine Bitcoin. Same tank.

This is amazing. The key to decentralization getting people involved with mining who don’t care about mining. You could probably facilitate auto-conversion so the end result is water/pool/home heaters that simply earn dollars. Either way, I love where this is headed.
Keep the tank. Add the hashrate. Tomorrow. ₿

Got @MagicalTux’s CatCard running on the ColdCard. CatCard utilizes every single noise source available on the board for seed generation. It’s overkill, but it’s clever. A similar result was/is technically achievable with ColdCard’s dice rolls, but Mark’s approach here makes either option (at least in theory) equally effective. The real challenge now seems to be that brilliant seed generation methods are only as effective as one’s ability to ensure that sticky-fingered psychos aren’t putting tiny implants inside devices. Bitcoiners are among the most resilient and innovative on the planet, so we’ll get it all figured out somehow. Lemonade out of lemons, as we all keep marching on. Experimental CatCard version here: github.com/TibaneLabs/catcar…

It wasn’t long ago we were trying all sorts of heatsink and fan combos to increase our Gamma hashrates from 1.2 to 2.2TH. This is getting wild.
