kash’s critical systems do not depend on php we left it where it belongs, to 2010 have a good day
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

some of the internet's biggest arguments are over in a few hours. why should you need to wait for a platform to create a market around them? kash lets creators launch markets around the moments their communities care about. while the conversation is still happening.

prediction markets may not scale like exchanges. they may scale like fandoms. pew analyzed nearly 12,000 polymarket accounts over six weeks and found that the median trader placed roughly 3/4 of their trades within one topic. almost 1/4 traded in only one category. most people are not arriving as general-purpose “prediction market traders.” they are arriving as football fans, crypto traders, political obsessives or experts in one specific corner of the internet. that changes the distribution problem. the winning platform may not be the one with the longest list of markets. it may be the one that lets every community build a market layer around the things it already follows. this is why permissionless market creation on kash matters soo much. the people closest to a niche can create the markets, bring the context and distribute them inside the conversation, without waiting for a central listing team to discover that the topic matters. prediction markets become much larger when people do not have to become traders first. they can start as fans. nitter.siddz.com/pince_croco/status/210…

we gave a few members of the kash community the ability to create their own prediction markets here’s what we’ve learned so far about what makes a good market 👇 1 - audience size alone does not create volume. a large following can get a market seen, but it cannot make people care about the outcome. some of the strongest starting points come from creators who understand a specific niche and know which events their community is already following. every community is watching something unfold: whether a football club will complete a transfer, which product a company will release next, who will win an award, or whether a creator will ship something by the date they announced. to outsiders, these events might look small. to the right community, they are outcomes worth predicting. 2 - the next ingredient is genuine disagreement. a market where nearly everyone immediately chooses the same outcome gives people little reason to debate, return or reconsider their position. good markets create tension between outcomes that each feel plausible. polarising does not mean manufacturing controversy. it means finding an event where informed people can look at the same evidence and reach different predictions. 3 - framing matters too. someone should be able to understand what they are predicting, when the result will be known and exactly what determines the outcome within a few seconds. the context can be complex, but the market should feel immediate. then the market begins to drive its own marketing. every trade is a position. every reply adds an argument. every change in probability gives people something new to discuss. the conversation spreads the market, brings in more information and gives participants a reason to return. this is why the creator’s job does not end when the market goes live. good creators add context, answer questions and keep the market connected to the events around it. reach can give a market its first audience. a good market gives that audience a reason to participate i'll be sharing more of the data and analytics behind these lessons over the coming weeks as we roll out market creation to everyone on kash

prediction markets keep designing for people who already trade. that may be the smallest version of the opportunity. social media has no shortage of opinions about what happens next. it lacks a simple way to turn them into positions. the product challenge isn’t creating conviction. it’s turning an existing opinion into participation without forcing everyone through a trading terminal.

prediction markets grew ~16x this year. the more interesting question is why. i opened the prediction markets track at the agentic finance event in singapore this week here is the recap: $330B+ in contracts across kalshi and polymarket in nine months, driven by three shifts: 1. attention: peak moments bring new people in. the world cup brought kalshi 3M new users, by its own count, and a third of its super bowl volume was the halftime show, ads and cameos. 2. distribution: growth went to whoever met users where they already are. at one point robinhood drove ~30% of kalshi's volume, and draftkings went from $2.3B to $11B annualised in three months. 3. the moment: people are trading smaller, faster and more often. kalshi's trades per day rose 35x in a year while dollars rose ~10x, so the average trade fell from ~$140 to ~$40. that's a wider audience coming in. one place combines all three: social media. it's where attention peaks, where people already are, and where the moment happens live. the next wave won't be more sophisticated traders. it'll be all the people with opinions who've never traded. permissionless, social-native prediction markets will open the doors to that audience, and kash is leading the way ! thanks to @TalBMor and the more & more team for having me.
