RevenueCat tracked 115,000+ subscription apps and $16 billion in revenue. The median app makes under $50/month after a full year. Not $50k. Fifty dollars. Only 17% ever cross $1,000/month. Only 3.5% hit $10k. Meanwhile my phone still buzzes with RevenueCat notifications from apps I forgot I shipped. The secret isn't one perfect app. It's shipping enough that the winners carry the rest. Source: RevenueCat 2026 State of Subscription Apps (median <$50/mo after 12 months; 17.2% reach $1k, 3.5% reach $10k). Real numbers β€” safe to post.

Left has over 2.8K reviews on the App Store, with a 4.7 rating my method for getting reviews is simple and it works. no dodgy tricks. it respects Apple's guidelines and the user experience, and you don't need to measure and stress with "aha! moments" or reward triggers I tried all of that before and honestly I don't think any of it worked. the biggest jump in reviews (and in positive ones) came in the last few months, after this change, I know because I track it here's how: 1. make a "What's New?" screen that shows after major updates. not after every update, only a few times a year, when you ship something big like a major new feature. I version my app as 2026.XX.YY so whenever XX changes it appears this screen 2. make your own review screen. show reviews from other users and community proof (if you have them!) 3. connect the two. show the review screen right after the "What's New?" screen every time, unless the user is in a cooldown because they already left a review this gets you 5 stars almost every time because: - it never interrupts someone while they're actually using the app - it shows up right after good news about new features, which shows you care about the app - only people who actually use your app see it, because no one else opens the app after an update two more tips: - notice the "Send feedback" button under the CTA button, pretty explanatory - after rating, people can close the screen or tap the CTA button again. it now says "Write a review", so they can add a written review if they want. never force it try it and let me know how it goes!

I just removed FREE TRIALS from my iOS app subscriptions. And guess what? πŸ‘€ My app is now generating 3 figures in revenue PER DAY. πŸ’° No free trials. Just paid subscriptions. The biggest lesson? Stop following what everyone else is doing. Test your pricing. Test your paywall. Test your subscription offers. Sometimes removing a feature makes you MORE money. Testing > Guessing. Never stop optimizing. πŸš€

The problem could be what happens before users see the offer. A strong first-time experience usually follows a simple sequence: 1-Explain the outcome clearly. 2-Show the most valuable benefits. 3-Ask users a relevant question. 4-Personalize the experience. 5-Present the premium offer. Users need to understand what your app can do for them before deciding whether it is worth paying for. Don’t sell β€œpremium access.” Sell the result: ❌ Unlock all features βœ… Create professional videos in minutes βœ… Follow a fitness plan built around your goals βœ… Turn your notes into clear summaries instantly People rarely pay for features. They pay for a faster path to an outcome.

The #1 ASO mistake: chasing popular keywords that don't match your app. High impressions + wrong intent β†’ low conversion β†’ bad reviews β†’ ranking death. Relevance beats popularity. Rank for what you actually are.

ASO just changed and most devs haven't noticed. People now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Apple Intelligence which app to install β€” before they ever open the App Store. And Apple's now generating hidden discovery tags from your screenshots with AI. Your listing isn't just ranking in search anymore. It's feeding what the machines recommend. The devs who optimize for that early win the next 2 years. I track these shifts weekly. Follow along.

How long do you let a paywall A/B test run before calling it? My rule: ~100 conversions per variant before I trust the result. Anything less is noise dressed as data. Seen too many devs kill a good paywall on 3 days of numbers. What's your threshold? πŸ‘‡

Noticed ~80% of my French trials cancel before paying. Turns out it's not a France problem. It's a not-the-US problem. The same app converts ~2x better in the US than in France, Brazil, India, or Indonesia. North America leads trial-to-paid at ~34%; most other markets sit far below. The fix usually isn't the paywall. It's localized pricing β€” a price tuned for US wallets quietly kills conversion everywhere else. Stop copy-pasting your US price across the world.

Everyone says one paywall in onboarding. The apps actually making money show a second one the second you tap "not now" β€” usually a discount or a longer trial. Aggressive? Yes. But dismissing a paywall isn't a "no." It's a "not at that price." Anyone tested this? Does the second paywall pay off or poison retention? πŸ‘‡

Most indie devs are ignoring a new traffic source: ChatGPT & AI agents. Here's a simple trick to help AI discover your app: Find questions people ask about your app's niche. Add those questions to your App Store description. Answer each question naturally. Explain how your app solves the problem. Example: ❌ "Best AI Crochet App" βœ… "How can I learn crochet as a complete beginner?" + a clear answer explaining how your app helps. You're no longer just optimizing for App Store search. You're making your app easier for AI agents to understand and potentially recommend. ASO + AI discovery = a new growth opportunity. Are you optimizing your app for AI search yet?

🚨 Indie iOS devs, I found another EASY opportunity. Keyword: "PSAT Test Prep 2026" πŸ“± Only ONE app is using this exact keyword in its title. The competition looks LOW. πŸ‘€ My prediction? A well-optimized app could break into the TOP 5. Here's your next app idea: βœ… Build a simple PSAT prep app βœ… Use this keyword in your title βœ… Add great screenshots βœ… Launch and test your rankings Sometimes you don't need a revolutionary idea. You just need the RIGHT keyword. Would you build this app or skip it? πŸ‘‡ Good luck! πŸš€

ChatGPT is making me money while I sleep. 🀯 Just checked my App Store Analytics: β†’ 94 impressions from ChatGPT β†’ 59 app downloads β†’ $112 in revenue Meanwhile, Google sent me just 5 downloads. I spent $0 on ads for this traffic. People aren't just searching Google for apps anymore. They're asking ChatGPT for recommendations. AI search optimization might be the next big opportunity for indie developers.

🚨 Indie iOS devs, STOP building random app ideas. I found 20 App Store keywords with surprisingly LOW competition in the US. πŸ‘€ Here are 10 worth investigating: β€’ Driving Theory β€” 61 popularity / 13 difficulty β€’ Ring Sizer β€” 49 / 17 β€’ Chess Clock β€” 47 / 17 β€’ PDF to Word β€” 43 / 17 β€’ Darts Scorer β€” 41 / 15 β€’ Cube Timer β€” 39 / 17 β€’ Electronic Signature β€” 35 / 13 β€’ Hearing Test β€” 28 / 17 β€’ Age Calculator β€” 25 / 15 β€’ Reading Comprehension β€” 24 / 9 These are real search keywords, not random AI-generated ideas. My strategy: - Find keywords with existing demand. - Target low-difficulty opportunities. - Build a simple MVP. - Localize into multiple markets. Validate with small Apple Search Ads campaigns. You don't need another revolutionary app idea. You need a simple app people are ALREADY searching for. Bookmark this before building your next iOS app. πŸ”–

The most powerful thing you can do for your app isn't adding new features. It's localizing your pricing. $9.99 in the US β‰  $9.99 in Brazil, India, or Turkey. Same app. Same features. Different purchasing power. Most indie devs localize their screenshots and metadata but completely ignore pricing. You're leaving money on the table. Localize your app. Localize your pricing. Maximize your revenue. Sometimes growth isn't about getting more users. It's about pricing correctly for the users you already have.

🚨 Apple just introduced something interesting for iOS developers! Multiseat Purchases are now available for subscriptions in App Store Connect. What does this mean? β†’ Businesses can buy multiple subscription seats β†’ Schools can purchase subscriptions for students β†’ Regular App Store support is coming later this year Imagine selling 100 subscriptions to a company instead of acquiring 100 individual users. πŸ‘€ A new monetization opportunity for indie devs? Are you enabling this for your apps?

πŸš€ Selling my iOS app! πŸ’° 2 purchases from just 45 users βœ… No paid APIs or third-party services βœ… Zero paid marketing Skip 2 months of dev + Apple review. Take over a live app, invest in user acquisition, and test growth without building from scratch. app.microns.io/buyer/listing…

We're focusing on: βœ… Finding app niches with real demand βœ… ASO & localization to increase organic downloads βœ… Apple Search Ads to acquire users βœ… Improving paywalls and subscriptions βœ… Tracking real revenue and sharing weekly results No fake promises. Just real experiments, real numbers, and learning together. This is only the beginning. Link : discord.gg/QGMpzY2J6

🚨 FIRST TIME I'VE EVER SEEN THIS. πŸ† 32 keywords ranking #1 on the App Store. And the craziest part? No expensive ASO agency. No massive marketing budget. No growth team. Just me, my own ASO strategy, keyword research, and smart localization. I've spent months testing, failing, learning, and building my own system. Today, seeing these results feels different. This is a BIG day for me. πŸ₯Ή Indie developers, never underestimate the power of ASO. You don't need a huge team to compete. You need the right strategy. And I'm just getting started. πŸš€

🚨 Apple just updated its App Review Guidelines. And with so many indie developers reporting account terminations lately, EVERY iOS developer should pay attention. Apple has introduced new rules covering: β†’ Hidden or undocumented app features β†’ Creative assets used in apps β†’ Developer conduct and compliance β†’ External payment links β†’ Stricter enforcement of safety policies ⚠️ Your app getting approved today doesn't mean you're safe tomorrow. If you're building iOS apps, read these changes BEFORE submitting your next update. I've seen more developers worried about account terminations than ever. Are you noticing more Apple Developer account terminations lately, or is it just my feed?
