महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, बिहार केसरी डॉ श्रीकृष्ण सिंहजी की 139वीं जयंती पर हम उनको सम्मान से याद करते हैं। आज़ादी के बाद अनाज से लेकर हर मोरचे पर गंभीर चुनौतियां थीं। RSS और दूसरी सांप्रदायिक शक्तियां दंगा फैलाने में लगी थीं। पर श्री कृष्ण सिन्हा बाबू ने बहुत कड़ाई से उनका मुकाबला किया। श्रीबाबू जी ने 1950 में कहा था कि- ‘There have been periods of stress and anxiety, but the last three years have been marked by communal peace unprecedented in the recent history of Bihar. Militant communalism, bearing the well-known lineaments of fascism, made its appearance in Bihar as elsewhere; its last, and in some ways the most formidable, appearance, was in the form of the Rastriya Swayam Sewak Sangh. Has India's patrolling access been compromised? Arunachal Pradesh is an inseparable part of India. Why is the nation being kept in the dark? 2. ECONOMIC SECURITY Since Galwan sacrifice of 20 Indian Army bravehearts, (FY2020–21), Chinese imports have surged 102%, while India's trade deficit with China has ballooned 155% to $112.16 billion. Even Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman admits China obstructs Indian exports. Yet, the Government is easing Chinese investment restrictions and considering PLI benefits for eligible China-linked ventures. Has Make in India become Import from China? 3. DIPLOMATIC ACCOUNTABILITY At least 23 reported Modi–Xi meetings and interactions, 25 Special Representatives' rounds involving NSA Ajit Doval, 36 WMCC meetings, and successive SCO and BRICS Summits. What tangible results have these engagements delivered? Have India's pre-May 2020 patrolling rights been fully restored? Our Armed Forces have our complete confidence. Manipur is bleeding again because of BJP’s incompetence! The horrific killing of four innocent civilians in the latest spate of violence is deeply condemnable. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Since May 2023, over 300 precious lives have been lost, while 24,530 are forced to be in relief camps in pathetic conditions. Women, children and vulnerable families continue to bear the brunt of this prolonged tragedy. The BJP’s political machinations, from imposing President’s Rule to replacing the Chief Minister and reinstalling its own government, have yielded no peace. PM Modi, who did not even set foot in Manipur for nearly 29 months after violence erupted, has abysmally failed on his so-called assurance in Parliament. The continuing bloodshed in this strategically vital border state is a grave indictment of the BJP’s failure to ensure law and order, protect constitutional rights and safeguard national security. PM Modi and HM Amit Shah must answer three questions: 1️⃣ What happened to the Peace Committee constituted by Amit Shah in June 2023? What concrete measures have been taken to restore peace, protect citizens and address the continuing security challenges in this sensitive border state? 2️⃣ What action has been taken on the Supreme Court-appointed Justice Gita Mittal Committee’s recommendations? Why are thousands of people still displaced, even as the Supreme Court has flagged 31 unnatural deaths in relief camps? What has been done to ensure the safety, dignity and rehabilitation of women, children and displaced families? 3️⃣After more than three years, over 300 deaths, President’s Rule and a change of Chief Minister, who will take responsibility for this monumental failure of governance? How many more innocent lives must be lost before the Prime Minister and Home Minister act? Manipur deserves justice, dignity, constitutional rights and lasting peace. As a strategically important border state, its security and stability cannot be held hostage to the BJP’s political expediency.

Deeply anguished by the tragic stampede at the Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata, which has claimed several precious lives. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured. I urge the West Bengal Government to ensure immediate rescue and medical assistance, adequate compensation to the families of the deceased and the injured, and a thorough investigation to prevent such tragedies in the future. I appeal to all Congress leaders and workers to extend every possible assistance to those affected during this difficult hour.

I have written to PM @narendramodi ji for the fourth time, demanding an All-Party meeting before any fresh Constitutional Amendment Bill on Delimitation is finalised. The previous Bill failed to secure the requisite two-thirds majority. Such far-reaching constitutional changes cannot be bulldozed through Parliament without meaningful consultations. Even 64 days after the Monsoon Session was adjourned sine die, both Houses are yet to be prorogued. This unprecedented situation raises serious questions.
