That's not enough.
Control Resonant is exactly what a true AAA game should be, making its low player numbers an absolute joke. Watching an incredible project get stuck at an estimated a mere 40k concurrent players on steam is just painful.
For years, the internet has done nothing but whine about AAA games lacking innovation and treating players like idiots with obnoxious yellow paint and spoon-fed puzzles. But the moment a developer actually listens and gives us a game that respects our intelligence, everyone closes their wallets. We need to be backing these games with our money if we want the industry to change look at how the community showed up to turn Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 into a massive success.
Remedy needed a major win, and they gave us their absolute best work with Control Resonant. Yet, the community and the gaming media have completely hung them out to dry. If this is how we treat games that take risks, I won't blame Remedy for a second if their next game is covered in yellow paint from start to finish. Stop complaining about the state of gaming if you aren't going to buy the good ones.
Put your money where your mouth is or shut up.
