✈️ Ran Ran 冉冉 (9) will soon travel to Belgium to join Xinghui, whose partner, Hao Hao, returned to China in 2025. While in Belgium, there are no plans to breed Xinghui and Ran Ran. Both pandas are expected to return to China in 2029.

Just read a study on a panda family, very likely Mei Xiang, Tian Tian, and Xiao Qiji. It shows why quarantine is important when pandas travel internationally. Their fecal samples, collected on the first day of quarantine, contained antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs).
