My experience helping people here in the Philippines feels like this: They tell you they’re hungry so you treat them to jollibee. A day later, they’re hungry again and ask you for more food. Realizing this will be a never ending cycle, you devise a strategy. You’ll get them a goat and 8 hens so they can have milk and eggs everyday and they can breed the animals too for additional protein. You do this and the complaints go away, for now. A month later, they complain again they’re hungry so you go and check on why. You find the goat and all the chickens missing! What happened, you ask. “We got hungry so we ate the goat and the chickens.” 🤦♂️
