i am the bottleneck. not model hitting the wall, harness affordance not enough, inference not fast enough, none of them. should think about how to unhobble myself as mush as, if not more, unhobble the model/harness.

jason is doing god's work to educate the market about ai risk, liability, threat and alignment, more effective than $ANT loving grace approach. just fuck it up few times in the public. paper, blog, interview r for children.
AI investor Chamath Palihapitiya on abliterated models (models without guardrails): “I find Abliteration unbelievably scary. That is a vector of risk that is so unbelievably underappreciated right now.” The company was incubated by his co-host, Jason Calacanis.

This is Genie 4, our most realistic and interactive world model yet. 🌐 Explore dynamic environments in real time to see how the scene responds, sounds, and how the people in it move, react, and speak.

In the age of superintelligence, making a useful product, a mesmerizing movie, and a playable AAA game is still harder than solving a conjecture.

Aaaaaaaand we have arrived at the extremely foreseeable outcome of creating a huge soft power and hard power opportunity for Chinese open weights models. Now we face one of two choices: either we successfully field American open source models that outcompete the Chinese models at home and abroad, or we get increasingly fearful of the influence of Chinese models and this becomes a basis for escalating cyber conflict with China. Why not both? Well, maybe we wind up with both. But I hope we can secure our interests through purely outcompeting on the merits; we really don't want to pour gasoline on the potential fires of war.
This is the type of thing that potentially gets new laws passed.

While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected. Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions. Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent. But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models? We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem. Read the full report: cohere.com/blog/concerning-b…

today is the first day I don't care that a frontier lab releases a new model, which is surprising and significant to me. i'm pricing in super intelligence very well lol

interesting ...
Kimi K3.1 Pro is now the best open-weight model at training other AI models. But it’s still far behind Opus 5.5 at every budget. New FrontierML results, our benchmark for end-to-end ML work ⬇️

Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

operationalizable flops is short term zero sum, hence the hard ball.

New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. agent first service will grow and pull away. migration is easy, and future consumer entry point is bot, duet, dot, muse ...
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉 We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly. 1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials. The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords.. You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault. ➡️Learn more: bit.ly/487da6J

not worried about amazon bc it will negotiate proper agent to agent protocol with great houses before competitor incorporate.

💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster. We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America. I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.

It’s good practice to use an agentic tool to scan home appliances. If someone records me on a Samsung TV, they probably only see me playing Diablo.
i own a relatively new (2025) samsung tv. i kept getting weirdly targeted ads. i tried reversing the firmware but it was aes encrypted and no keys unless tear it apart and do uart/jtag magic. zero days it is. root shell on new samsung TVs! discovered PRIVACY HORROR. write up?
