more interesting to me than the shoe is the fact that they went with a Turnstile show to intro it. been a while since a hardcore band had a following like this
First look: Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2. Worn by Franz from Turnstile onstage at Rolling Loud Miami. MORE: complex.com/sneakers/a/brend…

What an incredible loss to the tailoring trade. Sexton was a legend who broke Savile Row out of its stuffy mold by combining the craft of bespoke tailoring with 1970s fashion flair. He dressed the Beatles, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, and others. Read Lance's book, House of Nutter 🧵
Very sad to hear the iconic Edward Sexton has passed. Just an absolute genius tailor. Here are some of the suits he made with Tommy Nutter back in the day.

Google responding directly to G/O leadership's misguided AI strategy is a thing of beauty
Replying to @pkafka
FYI about this part: "he’s learned that AI content 'will, at least for the moment, be well-received by search engines'.” This isn't correct. Our systems are looking at the helpfulness of content, rather than how it is produced, as we explained recently: developers.google.com/search… We'd encourage publishers, however they produce content, to ensure they're making it for people-first. We go into detail about some things to consider if AI is involved here: developers.google.com/search… Producing a lot of content with the primary purpose of ranking in search, rather than for people, should be avoided. Sites producing a lot of unhelpful content not intended for people-first may find all of their content less likely to be successful with search, as explained here: developers.google.com/search…

great profile. enjoyed this bit: "And let’s be frank: fashion is a ridiculous business. Sometimes, it feels like Browne is the only one in on the joke."
For @BritishGQ I had the pleasure of profiling @ThomBrowne who has used the most improbable garment - the suit! - to build the most fascinating American fashion brand of the 21st century gq-magazine.co.uk/article/th…

In-store technology has gone from nice-to-have to necessary. For innovative tools to be most effective in physical retail, it needs to help brands connect with customers, improve back-of-house management and enhance store visits. My latest for @BoF businessoffashion.com/articl…

"Celebrity fans of the brand include the actor Nicolas Cage, the soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, and New York City’s mayor, Eric Adams." i think this is a litmus test issue
The Philipp Plein look combines elements of well-off hair-metal rocker in his dotage, white hip-hop impresario, and “Jersey Shore” cast member. “Which hetero guy in the world wouldn’t want to look like this?” the brand’s wholesale director said. nyer.cm/ZmZhO6Q
