Does Scott Wiener know his dad, Dr. Richard Wiener, was reprimanded in two states after inappropriately groping one of his optometry patients? (Sarcasm off for this thread...)
Well it turns out the patient was an undercover investigator.
New Jersey barred him from examining women without another woman in the room, then ordered him to "cease and desist from inappropriate touching of female patients." Pennsylvania put a public reprimand on his permanent licensing record.
Two women on his old practice's Yelp page accuse him of sexual misconduct during eye exams. One says he "sexually violated" her "while his wife the office manager was on the other side of the wall." (He's since sold the practice. The new owners have nothing to do with him.)
From the 1994 investigation to the 2001 reprimand, Scott was at Harvard Law, clerking on the New Jersey Supreme Court, then practicing law (and allegedly cornering a 19 year old at a company party). Did Scott know about this?
Interesting pattern here, now that Scott faces sexual misconduct allegations of his own. 🧵
