Another Delaware development built downhill from a railroad mainline curve - the FIRST mainline connecting Cleveland and Cincinnati. Someday if there's a wreck, everyone will be mad at the RR for putting it so close to homes.
A proposed apartment development in Delaware has cleared a key hurdle, advancing plans for a site where a historic carriage house is set to be demolished. bizjournals.com/columbus/new…

Microsoft is RETIRING unmanaged Power Platform Developer environments. Yes, including the ones from the free Power Apps Developer Plan. > Nov 15, 2026: New creation stops. > Dec 15, 2026: Existing environments start getting suspended. > Jan 15, 2027: Deletion starts. Developer environments survive with Managed Environments enabled. The catch? The free Developer Plan doesn’t cover Managed Environments usage. Even running your OWN apps and flows requires qualifying premium licensing. Check your demo environments NOW. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/po…

Lotta Germans here, bro. 🤷‍♂️ And Germans love Columbus.
I'd call this the most surprising route announcement of the year. @Lufthansa just announced new nonstop flights between Frankfurt and... Columbus, Ohio. It'll operate 3x weekly on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Lufthansa will receive subsidies for the route, but I can't tell how much $ they're getting. My take: this route will be great for award space. Nothing like the NYC-CMH-FRA routing.

Anticipated by Doctor Who in the late '80s. Terra Alpha. Are you a 'killjoy'?
Would I get arrested for posting this in the UK? Orwell wrote 1984 as a warning. Britain read it as an instruction manual. 62,000+ arrests for "communications offences" in five years (~34 a day). So I made a music video about it.

It's odd that anyone sees this guy as some kind of Constitutional hero because the told the guy to leave a public building without trespassing him.
Officer honors his oath to the constitution by standing up for the citizen and not doing the dirty work for corrupt politicians. When government officials view public buildings as their private castles, law enforcement is far too often weaponized as personal security to silence or remove everyday citizens. This encounter at Gainesville City Hall is a rare and powerful reminder of what it actually looks like when a police officer honors his oath to the Constitution instead of bowing to political pressure. Derek Walker walked into Gainesville City Hall for a lawful, routine reason: to deliver official paperwork regarding an ongoing legal dispute and inquire about the status of a settlement with the city. City staff told him to take a seat in the public lobby, promising that someone from City Attorney Daniel Nee’s office would come downstairs to address his inquiry. Walker sat patiently on a bench for nearly two hours, speaking cordially with building security and waiting on public servants to do their jobs. Rather than coming down to face a constituent, the City Attorney’s office attempted to use government muscle to make him disappear. Officials told building security to throw him out, and when security noted they lacked any legal grounds to do so, a call was placed to the Gainesville Police Department demanding that Walker be formally trespassed from public property. When Officer Isaac Sutton arrived on scene, he didn't just blindly follow orders or act as an administrative rubber stamp. He conducted an actual investigation. He questioned lobby security, who confirmed on the record that Walker had caused zero disturbance, broken no laws, and never attempted to breach restricted areas—he was simply sitting in a public lobby waiting for public officials. When city representative David Jarvis pressed for a formal trespass warning simply because city attorneys didn't want to deal with Walker, Officer Sutton drew a hard line in defense of civil liberties: "Me personally, my name going on the trespass for someone that was sitting there waiting for representation from the city... I'm not putting my name on the trespass." Officer Sutton openly recognized the situation for what it was, bureaucratic retaliation, and flatly refused to put his signature on an unconstitutional enforcement action. When officers are pressured by high-ranking city brass, taking the easy way out is what happens all too often. Officer Sutton stood up for an everyday citizen, held the line against executive overreach, and proved that a badge belongs to the Constitution, not the bruised egos of city officials. This is what you want to see from your local law enforcement. Great job by this officer.

Hey, I see the @TourCNTower !
Nighttime lights of Toronto, Canada are a patchwork of white and warm LEDs in a classic North American grid design. To the southwest, the airport blacks out a large area and an approaching cloud blurs the edge. The Great Lakes coastline is ocean-like in appearance!
