Forever is just going to be Animal Crossing for the mid-30s gamer who wants a cozy game but doesn’t want to admit they want a cozy game.
Plenty of Retail players will jump in, enjoy it, and stay active. But plenty will also go back to Retail, or play both, because they still want competitive, mechanically demanding, and mentally challenging gameplay.

I don’t think most people are upset necessarily about the RMT specifically as much as it just being unfair.
Getting traded gold by fans or buying it with dollars is net the same thing they have something you don’t because of some bullshit.
It evokes the same negative feeling.
I can't believe people are getting this upset over streamers accepting trades from random people.
It's not "RMT". The streamers aren't paying a single penny for this gold.
If some random person came up to you and said "hey man I'm a huge fan of your work, here is $100 for being cool..." 99% of you would instantly take it.

I turned 29 today and safe to say the past 2 years have been the best of my life.
2 years ago I remember celebrating my birthday with the Guild in Santa Monica during Nerub-ar Palace after riding the high of killing Nexus Princess Kyveza. In these 2 years I became the Co-GM of the Guild, I've won 5 race to world firsts in a row, seen my closest friends win BlizzCon MDI, I worked on myself and lost 60lbs, I redecorated my apartment to finally display all my statues and swords, I led negotiations for a great new 5 year deal between Team Liquid and the Guild and met so many new friends along the way.
I love my entire guild and have them all to thank for getting me through these years but I'd like to specifically thank @Boomiexd for not only being my closest friend but for picking up so many tasks that I couldn't cope with at the height of prep and negotiating. It's not a coincidence he joined at the start of the Liquid dynasty. One of my favourite parts of my position is bragging about how good my players are and at BlizzCon I had the privilege of sitting with Boomie’s wonderful girlfriend and family to watch him win MDI, all while getting to tell them just how impactful he has been to the team's success and how he's grown into an impactful leader in the Guild.
A lot of people asked me at BlizzCon how we overcame the “despair” of waking up to an almost certain loss and somehow won. For this I’ll refer to Tolkien’s words:
“It is not despair, for despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt. We do not. It is wisdom to recognize necessity, when all other courses have been weighed, though as folly it may appear to those who cling to false hope. Well, let folly be our cloak, a veil before the eyes of the Enemy!“

ppl don't understand how impossible it is to make bosses hard enough to 1) challenge echo and liquid but also be killable and 2) also thoroughly test those bosses
like trying to make a cage that can hold superman for exactly 72 hours but also superman has analysts
A strategy isn't a 'bug', it should either be possible, or it shouldn't. Clearly it wasn't tested properly, and no reason for it be acceptable as taking the 'good with the bad' during an event of this nature.

I 100% respect the crashout and blizz raid quality this tier was all time bad but we had the bug as well.
Max is being a nice guy in the clip but still is wrong in saying that they had the bug. They never had it happen.

Liquid's GM Maximum stated his guild also had the bug and shared logs of players receiving the Ingested Venom debuff tied to it.
