Former Eminem Employee Pleads Guilty to Criminal Infringement of Copyright
According to court documents, Joseph Strange was an employee of Mathers from approximately 2007 until 2021. Without authority, Strange copied 10 or more audio files of music and material in various stages of development from one or more of these drives. Between July and August of 2024, Strange sold and transmitted 10 or more of these music files to purchasers via the internet for a total of approximately $50,000. Strange also did so without Mathers’s knowledge or authorization.

Same here, The Saga Begins was one of the first Al songs I heard, and I loved how accurately it described the plot of The Phantom Menace (also One More Minute for parody of cheesy love songs)
Still one of his best. I’ll never forget listening to “The Saga Begins” with my dad the day it came out, driving through LA and not believing how accurately (and quickly) Al had summarized, recorded, and released a song about Episode I.
I later learned he’d pieced the whole thing together from internet rumors and leaked plot details on Star Wars sites (Lucasfilm wouldn’t give him the script) and only needed minor tweaks after seeing a charity screening right before release.
A treasure of a record.
