If you want to know my thoughts and opinions about various things beyond #writing, you're in the right place. If you're primarily interested in my work as an #author, @shotterwriting is the feed for you. @NemesisEffect promotes the creative works of others in addition to my own.
ALT About the author: Michael Shotter is a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a lover of science, fiction, and fantasy, his works aim to push beyond the boundaries of traditional genre fiction into new and exciting realms born from literary craftsmanship. Latest Release: "The Nemesis Legacy" - Coming in 2027: "The Nod/Wells Timelines - The Official Compendium" - Visit his website at http://michaelshotter.com for additional links and information.
FYI: I can confirm that all my audiobooks are now indeed in Kindle+ (formerly Kindle Unlimited) in the US. This includes "The Big Men" for those who prefer traditional narration to Virtual Voice.
BTW: Virtual Voice is not "AI." I explain why here:

The whole "Kindle Unlimited" to "Kindle+" rebrand is interesting, especially given the inclusion of audiobooks in the US. Mine should all be available if anyone would like to give that a try. Curious to see what comes of it. Will we all start saying K+ instead of KU? 🤔
I know there are more than a few 2026 speculative-fiction books that have done better than "The Nemesis Legacy" this year but the fact is, there are a whole lot more that haven't. Thus, a big thank you to everyone who's helped make that happen.
Seriously, thank you! 🚀🪐📚❤️🙂👍

I conceived this story years before I wrote "The Big Men" but sat on the idea for decades until I felt I'd reached a point where my ability as a writer could do it justice.
Thus, a very special point of entry into The Timelines.

You may have noticed that I've been focusing a lot on giveaways this month. Several of them won't ever be happening again but it's also because I'm having a big eBook sale in November, likely the last of its kind. So, now truly is the best possible time to start reading my works.

Fans of "The Field Journal of Dr. Franklin Nod" and "Red" from "Shards" will find this one particularly interesting but its blend of science fiction, horror, and unsettling thrills made it a hit for those new to The Timelines as well.

FYI: Quarter-star ratings are being rolled out on Goodreads. Just saw the option for the first time on the web site a few minutes ago.
This is going to be... interesting. 🤔
Still processing it but my first thought is, "I wonder if people will go back and adjust their ratings?"
