Today we made the difficult decision to start winding down Medial.
Our goal was simple: build the place for startup people on the internet. a consumer social app where founders, builders, operators, investors, and ambitious students could meet, share what they were building, discover opportunities, and help each other grow.
Over the years, more than 500,000 people became part of that community. We were fortunate to raise venture capital, pitch on Shark Tank, make the forbes 30 under 30 list, and build products used by many.
But what I’ll remember most are the people who found co-founders, got their first jobs or internships, raised funding, discovered teammates, and built meaningful relationships because of medial. Our users even came on Shark Tank!
Building a consumer social product is one of the hardest things you can do. We're proud we got the chance to try. We will carry forward the learnings and build great things again!
Thank you to every user, teammate, investor, and supporter who believed in us.
I don't know what's next for me but hoping to make impact in the ecosystem again soon :)
