‘I was groomed into white supremacy’ yeah so were the confederate soldiers that fought to keep me a slave. You’re not special or unique for centering your ‘victimhood’
While you’re crying on twitter about black people being unforgiving of your ‘racist phase,’ the government has just murdered a one year old black baby and has legally justified it

Not even that. One thing that you learn is that people will forgive anything, and I mean anything if that person holds some kind of social power.
The gag is that yall just dont think racism is that serious. If someone was a rapist or pedo you’d be okay with that being something they have to carry with them forever. But when someone is overtly racist and uses violent bigoted language yall want people to get over it.

Speaking of fundamentalists: have you notice how churches shield abusers?
Replying to @melvv145 @mommabiia
The Puritan aspect is insisting people can never change, it is like religious fundamentalists who say you have the mark of cain whatever you do, however much you try to atone it’s never enough.

Y’all can’t say that anytime we talk about racism or antiBlackness we’re being performative and then turn around and say people can change and grow. Shutting down any conversations where YOU have to confront your biases, prejudices, racism doesn’t lead to growth pls

because look at the reaction when you bring up someone past anti-blackness. everyone acts like you kicked their puppy. it should always be hush hush. still holding prejudices just with a liberal smile.
To me being anti-Black is not a phase it’s not something that people grow out of. it’s something that people learn to suppress in polite company but they’re still anti-Black racists. it doesn’t matter how long ago it was, it lives in them it’s under their skin it’s in their soul.

This is no different than calling someone a wokescold for not tolerating bigotry or abusers.
I’d rather trust a person with a troubled past with genuine changed behavior vs. a person that loves using their ‘perfection’ to feel better than other people

If a person is willing to excuse a racist past, they're going to excuse a transphobic one, a misogynist one, and any other kind of bigotry. I've also just seen those type of defenses done for sexual predators just because they did it in the past, it's all the same.

Post like this going viral, on a site that's more racist than ever. It's almost funny.

i mean, it makes sense if you believe that racism doesn't have anything to do with relations of power. the problem is that these people also simultaneously admit that racism is so ever-present that internalization of its various heutistics and schema is inescapable.
How do yall be knowing when someone has “grown out” of their racism? lmao cause I don’t know any racist loser from high school who is “reformed” now.

I don't care about being lecture about lefitsm from someone who's talking about far-left, like is a real thing. You're not a serious person.
Replying to @melvv145
You're not wrong that racists have little to no reason to change in the modern day, but the idea that people are incapable of growth literally runs counter to leftist ideology like that's not a debate. You can't be far-left and believe growth can't happen that's blatant ignorance

RT @Sunflower_pvz: White people LOVE telling black ppl how to feel abt racism

Is acknowledged, can we move on to the part of actually not tolerating it, so we can start holding people accountable?
Replying to @ThatComicFan3
Unfortunately it is normal. It shouldn’t be, but it very much is a norm across the world. The first step in fixing this is actually acknowledging such a thing rather than dismissing it as something that isn’t a norm right now

Do not lecture people about what is or isn't conservatism when there's no incentive for racists to change, because there's always someone willing to justify and excuse their behavior.
being anti change is like the foundation of conservative ideology.

A person can literally say the worse racist shit, and there is at least 100 people wondering why black people are so offended. It really does not matter if it's a phase, a past or current, there's always someone willing to tolerate and defend it.

A lot of you tell on yourselves, when you start lecturing black people about other types of opression, as if they could only be one thing.
Replying to @ThatComicFan3
you think being racist and homophobic is limited to spewing slurs so that's the main problem. You do know that all these oppressions are a society problem not an individual problem right ? So everyone has bias, and everyone needs to unlearn them.
