Joel Tide! Former Driveline trainee and coach!
The St. Louis Cardinals are hiring Joel McKeithan as hitting coach, sources say. McKeithan was most recently with the White Sox as assistant hitting coach.

I think most people multi-tasking with agents could benefit from slowing down most of the stuff you're doing wont really matter- what's your P0? what would it look like if you gave it your full attention?

The 2026 Brewers right now in the NLCS are running the highest three true outcome rate (47%) of any LCS since the series began in 1969. If you think I find this delightfully entertaining, I do.

Hi, I'm Felix. I'm an eng lead working on Claude. I love watching people take flight and do things they never thought possible. We often describe that as "being more ambitious" when using AI, which is tricky advice to follow. I wrote a tutorial: felixrieseberg.com/how-to-be…

Yesterday, I bet on myself and purchased an RTX 6000 Blackwell. My goal is to advance baseball models and I feel strongly with where I’m headed. Seems like they would agree..
The compute needed for the stage of AI we’re about to enter is going to be insane. Personal agents, agent swarms defending enterprises, agents that review all of our code for security issues, agents that process nearly all enterprise data in workflows, background agents working on tasks 24/7, and on and on. This will take a mix of inference volume that is going to keep growing by orders of magnitude, as well as infrastructure that agents need alongside the tokens. They need computers, networking, file systems, and so on. We’re only in the early stages of what this buildout is going to look like.

I've been experimenting with agentic war rooms. Wrote a bit about the setup, why humans get married to their own ideas, and how I'm using it for the @CloudflareDev agentic coding challenge. We'll see what they build.

The War Room: Engineering Creativity in the Age of AI Agents

What happens when you stop asking AI for answers and start designing systems that challenge their own ideas? I put three AI agents in a war room, gave them different personalities, and now I'm

Two things about Hogan Harris. He'd get an unusually large return on a tick of velo As a lefty he isn't getting the platoon edge his stuff should give him. Both are fixable this offseason. 🧵

@ShaneJohnson_1 LHP, sophomore at Oregon, walked into Driveline in June throwing from two arm slots. He's leaving with one release, a 7-pitch mix, and a fastball that already grades MLB average at 89-92 because of where it comes from. Here's the summer.

it's basically impossible to interpret evals by looking at just at the pass/fail scores these days many of the failures I see in benchmarks are due to overly strict hidden tests, in some cases the model's answer makes more sense than the expected eval result

A lot of projects don’t pan out how you hoped, every once in a while, you hit on something that goes a long way. But, it is hard to know which one that’ll be until you build it.

With subsidized tokens for the time being, the best bet is to just rip an idea and see where it goes. Most won’t work out. But testing them is cheap, and every once in a while, one will be worth taking a lot further.
