Just had a teacher friend send me a message. She told me TEA is now investigating what teachers post on their social media accounts. That part isn’t new, that’s been the practice of many hiring school districts too. Teachers are held to a higher standard despite the low pay However, what is new is they are coming after people that specifically protest or mention things they don’t agree with. (I.e. protest ICE or mention Charlie Kirk). It’s ok if you call Pretti or Good domestic terrorists though…. Time for a little transitive property for those of you that remember that in math: TEA=Abbott’s lapdog=Trump’s lapdog.

Proud of my middle schoolers exercising their first amendment rights today and walking out to protest ICE. Student organized and student led. Thanks also to @austinisd police for making sure the kids were safe! Despite what the Governor thinks, the schools are not organizing this stuff.

"Schools are no place for politics" -TX Governor Abbott. Also the Governor - "We are going to put Turning Point USA curriculum in schools and the ten Commandments." The hypocrisy is so thick, I might choke on it.

Texas public school executioner…er…governor Abbott won’t have a leg to stand on if he cuts all the funding. Then how will he threaten schools exercising their first amendment rights? @teainfo needs should stand up for students, not be lapdogs for Abbott.
