The BBC's assault on Glasgow should concern everyone in Scotland. The city is collateral damage just as everything in Scotland is when it comes to politics and the BritNats. The constant caricaturing of Scotland as inferior, a mess and in permanent crisis needs to be called out.

BBC Scotland tried to undermine the Glasgow Commonwealth Games from the get go. Even after they finished the station couldn’t just admit they’d been a success.
BBC Scotland not taking the spectacular success of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games well at all. "Was it a success ... Are the Commonwealth Games dead?" What a wretched station.

Scottish Labour politicians have become colonial salespeople for an English centric party. Note how they’ve all tried to sell a budget that short changed their own country, its people and industry all to help a party that’s long since given up on Scotland.
What does the UK budget mean for you?

The BBC turned a tawdry tribunal featuring an unsavoury individual into a political weapon against the SNP. An identical tribunal in Darlington was virtually ignored. Hopefully the last we hear of Sandie Peggie. news.stv.tv/east-central/san…

Burnham has a jet at his disposal that has flown from Stansted to the north of England to ‘pick him up’. Imagine John Swinney trying to pull that one off.
Andy Burnham's plane is on its way to Antigua, via... Manchester. The PM's jet flew from Stansted this morning to pick him up from the north before continuing to the Caribbean for the Commonwealth heads of government meeting.

When other energy-rich nations are supporting their citizens and investing in their public services, why should Scotland put up with soaring energy bills and a £650 million cut from Westminster? The only way to reach our full potential is with the full powers of independence.

It blows my mind that a main Scottish MP (who’s husband was linked to China as a spy), who then slept with 2 senior nuclear captains at Faslane and then went on to have an affair with a senior pro-Labour Holyrood journalist at the time of the Scottish election gets zero airtime.
Why has the pro-UK Government MSM in Scotland allowed Labour MP Joani Reid's shenanigans to go completely under the radar? Are Scots not supposed to know what's going on, & knowing Paul Hutcheon's+Daily Record 'links' to the Labour Party, why ISN'T their affair all over the news?

We watched this interview and the presenter became increasingly bewildered as she listened to Sarwar’s word salad. You could see the astonishment in her face as she realised he was uttering pre-prepared guff.
Trade minister Lord Anas Sarwar refuses to say when the government will bring down the welfare bill. It's after a day of mixed messaging from the government on a timeline to get the total bill down. 🟣 @AliFortescue | Watch The Cathy Newman Show at link in the comments

As we suspected, Reporting Scotland had zero in depth analysis of the budget and its impact on Scotland. The programme instead had a vox-pop. The betrayal of Acorn was glossed over as was gas standing charge being applied to unit cost and the real terms cut to our block grant.
Genuine question. Does BBC Scotland have an editor or reporter capable of understanding the complexities and detail of the budget? We can't think of a single person left at the station who is up to the task.

Here's what is wrong with this headline. Labour made an announcement for England that results in consequentials for Scotland. The headline should merely have reflected that fact. The BBC didn't do this. Instead BBC Scotland opted to *assist* Labour. The station immediately turned an England only announcement into pressure by Labour on the SNP. The BBC has thus favoured Labour instead of merely reporting the facts.

Michael Marra ridiculed the SNP tax cut for being 'tiny' in January this year. Maybe BBC Scotland and STV can ask him if he holds the same scorn for Burnham's 'tiny' 40p a week households will save as a result of tariffs being removed from marmalade and gherkins etc.

Labour's plan to remove tariffs from 100 food items could save households up to 40p a week. In January Michael Marra ridiculed the SNP's tax change because it only gave people an extra 70p a week. He said: 'You couldn’t buy a Mars bar for that". archive.is/2llN1

BBC Scotland is effectively now a media centre for the Labour Govt. Strong circumstantial evidence that Douglas Alexander is influencing political news output using the Scotland Office.
