Why Never Normal? What's wrong with the default path? There's a massive lie 👖🔥 hidden in plain sight at the heart of our education and employment systems. Here's a 30 second explanation:

Is there a name for this phenomenon? once a field gets sufficiently good at making things that are objectively great, then they just start making ugly stuff (I guess because it’s not creative otherwise)?
I visited Wurster Hall at UC Berkeley today. It was designed by, and currently houses, the architecture faculty. The UC Berkeley website notes that "Wurster is often voted Berkeley's ugliest building." I visited because I was curious about whether it would in person seem as unattractive as it does in photos. And, in short: it does. It's gaunt, austere, and filmed in grime. On an elysian campus, it stands out for its bleak hostility. It reminds me of the German submarine base in Bordeaux. The UC Berkeley page agrees that it was never designed to be attractive, quoting the curator of their design archives: “Wurster and his handpicked architects didn’t want anything romantic, or sentimental — they hated the idea of ‘making pretty buildings. They wanted a serious building.” I guess we have to concede success relative to their stated goals, but it does make one wonder what it all says about architecture as a discipline.

Mi sueño es que WhatsApp incluya la opción de desactivar los mensajes de audio. La persona lo enviará y aparecerá un mensaje que dice "del usuario no acepta mensajes de audio, escribe".

Thesis: In the age of AI, your data is your moat. Protect it from being scraped by bots. Antithesis: In the age of AI, agents are your users. Make sure your site is accessible to them. Synthesis: Make your interface easy for agents to use, and your data hard for bots to grok.

The cyberpunk future is here. It’s just not evenly distributed. Also, I think that’s a remote operator in the Philippines if I had to guess
🚨#BREAKING: Absolutely WILD footage has emerged from Atlanta where an apartment complex now uses "robot security dogs" to patrol the area at night. The robot dogs also seem to speak in Indian accents to the residents. I've never seen anything like this before... insane!!!

Turns out, past performance *is* a predictor of future results
1/ I WONDERED WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU JUST BUY THE BEST PERFORMING STOCK FROM THE YEAR BEFORE AND DO IT EVERY SINGLE YEAR SO I BACKTESTED IT GOING BACK 15 YEARS STARTING WITH $100 IN 2012: END RESULTS S&P 500 → $800 LAST YEAR'S WINNER → $176,114

Super interesting. So the frontier models just became the "middleware". Elon is focusing instead on owning: - the user interface / customer relationship (bot) - the hardware and energy bottleneck (data centers + space)
Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.

if Meta’s new glasses take off, part of the credit has to go to run clubs for making that shape of glasses trendy not long ago that shape was only for people who have a fishing license and strong opinions about baseball

This morning, as I was picking up anchovies from the hotel buffet, a man stopped me: "You have an amazing body, sir." In the past 2 years, strangers have complimented my physique almost every day. I grew up tiny. Until I turned 17, adults called me "Madam," and kids bullied me for my noodly arms. When I moved to Bali in 2018, I started surfing and did a bit of calisthenics because everybody is topless and sexy. Getting in shape slowly transformed me: In 2021, I started sleeping properly. In 2023, I started eating healthy. In 2025, I started lifting and running. I became a different person: - I never go to bed past 10 pm - I stopped smoking and drinking - I like what I see in the mirror - I get deep work done more easily - I receive compliments from strangers - I pick the healthiest option on the menu - I don't need motivation to go to the gym; I'm pulled towards it Fitness did not just impact my body, but also my identity. Muscles are the tip of the iceberg. Move your body.

If you ever arrive to anywhere and they don’t have a public bathroom…
If you ever arrive to a hotel too early and the room isn’t ready, sprawl out in the lobby, put on a sleeping mask and start loudly snoring. Your room will be ready in 5 minutes.

Flying around to different cities and drinking sour ass specialty coffee is the millennial and Gen Z equivalent of buying Hard Rock Cafe T-shirts
modern travel is increasingly flying 10 hours to experience a slightly different version of the same globally optimized lifestyle. same third wave coffee. same natural wine bar. same brutalist menu. same sourdough. same beige hotel. same tasteful ceramics. same instagram lighting. what a ridiculous convergence.

Why does every café in Valencia insist on playing the worst possible music in the world? I’ve never once in my life walked into a café and thought “I hope they play the saddest hits of Sam Smith, and the testosterone reducing collection of Ed Sheeran” Every time

New escape fantasy unlocked
I met a guy who makes €50,000 from a train restaurant in Poland 🇵🇱 Long-distance Polish trains have a restaurant car called WARS. Rankings often put it at the top of the world's train food services – unlike other companies that just warm food up, WARS cooks national Polish dishes like pierogi, schabowy kotlet, and pancakes fresh I traveled on one of those trains last week and was amazed at how tasty the food is – I ordered two portions of pancakes in a row, and had to turn off my calorie counter 😅 I said to the guy at the bar that I really liked the food, we talked a bit, and he turned out to be the owner of that restaurant car I was surprised to find out that WARS trains operate like Polish Żabka or 7/11 – it's a huge franchise network where business owners rent 1 or 2 wagons and operate them like their own business The parent company still controls the menu and the look of the restaurant, but they get an owner attitude and A LOT of motivation to make money from the franchisees This business is also quite profitable – in the summer season you can get up to €10,000 in profits after taxes from just 2 cars In the X bubble, it's easy to forget how many ways there are to make money outside of tech, and stories like this keep my belief in capitalism and human creativity high!

I wonder if this evolves into some sort of always-on soap opera where factions (team Jacob) are “writing” their particular character Kind of like mmmorpg but instead of raiding dungeons you’re deciding if they fall in love or not
🌟 Passed 2000+ concurrent viewers! 🫟 InfiniteSlop.ai ✅ Switched to portrait videos cause most usage on mobile ✅Moved the queue to the left with upvotes, so the most upvoted ones get generated (because limit of 4 videos (15s) per minute ✅ Shows playing next so you know if your video coming up next ✅ Together this makes it a bit more clear how it works: 1) you type a text in chat, 2) it gets put in the queue for people to upvote, 3) most upvoted one gets pulled from queue into generating, 3) when done generating get pu in the stream to play next ✅ Slowly adding some up and down scrolling (go previous videos) also but still a bit buggy Feature requests and ideas very welcome!
