Opus 5.5 is so good at making hand-drawn whiteboard animations This one shot video explaining Leidenfrost effect perfectly. Voice over and music added all in one pass. Maybe we can revolutionize education. Great work by @AnthropicAI

I’m horrified by the brutal attack on a Sikh truck driver who was stabbed 17 times at a Wyoming rest stop. This comes amid rising hatred targeting Sikh and South Asian Americans, with even the Trump Department of Homeland Security recently posting a racist caricature of a Sikh truck driver telling him to "get off our roads" and "self-deport or find out." Those spreading this hate, including officials in our own federal government, need to stop. Those who turn it into violence must be held accountable. And all of us need to stand together against both. America must be better than this. I’m praying for Mr. Singh’s full recovery and grateful to the family whose quick action helped save his life. npr.org/2026/09/17/nx-s1-597…

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

If they really start to gatekeep who gets to use the best models, that is a declaration of war. This prospect fills me with the most sincere, bodily cypherpunk will-to-power that I've ever felt (at least since I was a teenager). If they really go down this route, I would go all-in on building the most psychotic swarms of open-source models and fine-tunes possible, all geared toward a Chaotic Good jamming of the entire institutional public sphere. If we didn't do that, all of political life and the marketplace of ideas would be over before we know it. It's one thing if the top models become too expensive for me or others to use (I'm already pricing that in, and if you can't build something profitable enough to climb that ladder as it gets pulled up, then that's fair enough). But if the ladder gets pulled up politically, now, so only select institutional players get access to the most intelligent models, then any mature American man should be as energized as gun collectors are around the 2nd Amendment, or liberal women are around Planned Parenthood.

Don't feel guilty now. Thanks. But there is truth to this. There is so much hype but so much education on x now
Replit CEO Amjad Masad: Being 'terminally online' may be an advantage. "If you want to work on a skill, it's going to be about idea generation." "Because the cost of implementation of those ideas is going down rapidly. It's gonna go to zero at some point." "So the bottleneck becomes, 'how fast can you generate ideas?'" "Just looking around you in the world and seeing what's happening. What are the trends? Are you plugged in on social media?" "A lot of the vices that older generations think are vices, might actually become advantages. So if you're a brainrotted, terminally online person, that might be an advantage because you know what's happening in the world." "If you're someone who's ADHD, really interested in novelty... that's actually an advantage because AI really benefits people who can try a lot of things really quickly." @amasad with @jackneel

Wrote a chrome plugin, which calls Chat GPT APIs to get the meaning of the selected word and also 3 sentences using that word. Very cool - previously I used to make note of the words, look up the meaning etc. Now it is all in context. Super excited.
