The future of mobility is increasingly being shaped by how effectively global engineering ecosystems collaborate, innovate and build together.
Speaking at the International VDI Congress, ELIV 2026, Kishor Patil, Vice Chairperson, Nasscom, highlighted the opportunity for India and Europe to build a technology superhighway for mobility by combining their complementary strengths.
He emphasised three key priorities:
- Moving beyond traditional supplier relationships towards joint innovation, co-development of intellectual property and shared technology ownership.
- Combining Europe's automotive and systems engineering expertise with India's strengths in software, AI, embedded systems and engineering at scale.
- Building a stronger cross-border innovation ecosystem through joint investments in emerging technologies, deeper R&D collaboration and faster development of globally competitive mobility solutions.
At ELIV 2026, Nasscom is showcasing India's growing automotive engineering capabilities through the Nasscom India Pavilion, bringing together Together, capabilities spanning vehicle engineering, SDVs, compute, electronics, AI and validation, and the potential for deeper India-Europe collaboration.
