Introducing NestJS Observe 🔭
Zero-config, auto-instrumented observability built specifically for NestJS.
Get real-time visibility into your apps - traces, metrics, logs, errors, jobs, profiles, and more - without manually instrumenting your code 🚀

🔭 OpenTelemetry sees a Nest app from the outside: the router and the database driver.
🧩 NestJS Observe gets every provider from Nest itself, so the trace reads like your code.
The setup, the trade-offs, and when to pick OpenTelemetry anyway 👇

Announcing @nestjs/locks, a new official package that brings distributed locks to NestJS 🔒
Run scheduled jobs on a single instance, prevent overlapping runs, and elect a leader across instances, all with a single decorator.

An MCP server for your NestJS app's production data: give your AI coding agent your releases, errors, traces and issues, so it can debug and fix production bugs.

Every line of the first version of NestJS was typed by hand.
I don't think most code will be written that way anymore. Not in a few years, soon. Here's what I think that means for code review, frameworks, and anyone learning to code.

During this period, Myhappr handled 10,229 requests, recorded a 28.32% error rate, partially due to service downtime and application errors, maintained a 223ms p95 latency, and these three endpoints were our slowest. NestJS Observe 😌❤️
Debug NestJS Errors in Production, From Alert to Fix
Error monitoring and tracking for NestJS: catch production errors, find the root cause and verify the fix, with zero config.

🚀 The release comparison flags the new query and marks 1.13.0 a regression
🤖 Copy agent prompt hands it to a coding agent, which adds the index, and 1.13.1 ships
✅ Observe keeps watching, confirms the fix and closes the issue on its own

Nest has always been known as a framework on top of Express or Fastify.
But what if Nest was just Nest? 🤔
In the next minor release: @nestjs/platform-node, built directly on node:http. One-line switch, and the fastest way to run Nest yet. 🚀
Correction on AdonisJS: we benchmarked it with the full app boot and starter-kit middleware. With the bare setup @romainlanz suggested, it’s ~27% faster, roughly level with Hono and Nest + Fastify. Code and steps to reproduce are updated in the PR
Switching is one line:
NestFactory.create(AppModule, new NodeAdapter())
Express-style req/res helpers and most middleware keep working. Body parsing, CORS, static files, views and file uploads are built in.
NestJS Observe vs Sentry, Datadog and OpenTelemetry: which one for a NestJS app?
They can all trace a Nest app. The question is whether the trace shows library calls or your own services.
