Prime Minister Andy Burnham say it's a "shame" that Northern Ireland’s leaders aren't at today's economic summit in Glasgow. Mr Burnham said, “It’s a shame that we do not have colleagues from Northern Ireland but obviously we’re working with them on the same agenda and that agenda being how do we get growth up to where we all want it to be." ⁉️⚠️WATCH: A phone call from Mary Lou McDonald, joint engagements stop and Michelle O'Neill brands Gavin Robinson's comments "arrogant" - what's next for Stormont? 🎥🎤@duponline Leader @GRobinsonDUP has spoken about a phone call he received from Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald following the cancellation of a joint engagement with President of Ireland Catherine Connolly. 🎤Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 has this from Stormont. ⁉️So, what happens next for Stormont? ⛔️It's not collapse, at least not yet. But with no agreed budget, warnings of strike action and growing political tensions, the challenges facing the Executive aren't going away anytime soon. Mr Robinson says there should be consequences for Sinn Féin, but not at the expense of the people of Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, First Minister Michelle O'Neill has branded comments made by the DUP leader during his press conference as "arrogant and supremacist", claiming the party is in "turmoil". More on-air tomorrow.
💥⚠️BREAKING: 'Joint activities cease with First Minister Michelle O'Neill. We will ensure she will not be at Remembrance Sunday' - DUP won't collapse Executive for now, but 'options are available' 🎤🎥@duponline leader @GRobinsonDUP has announced that deputy First Minister @little_pengelly will cease participating in joint engagements with Sinn Féin First Minister Michelle O’Neill. Mr Robinson said Ms Little-Pengelly would also withhold permission for Ms O’Neill to undertake engagements alone in her capacity as First Minister. While stopping short of withdrawing Ms Little-Pengelly from her post, a move that would collapse the Stormont Executive, the DUP leader refused to rule out taking that step in the future. The announcement follows a meeting of DUP party officers today to discuss their response to a police investigation involving Ms O’Neill and several Sinn Féin colleagues over their participation in an allegedly unlawful protest on the Garvaghy Road in Portadown last month. More on-air and online from Chief Reporter @jamesgould23.

🚨🗣NEW: Statement from deputy First Minister @little_pengelly, alongside a letter to First Minister Michelle O'Neill - "I do not take this action lightly." ⬇️ "Given the seriousness of the circumstances surrounding Michelle O’Neill’s recent reckless conduct, and the damage it has done to the operation of our joint office, I have withdrawn agreement to attendance at tomorrow’s engagements in Glasgow. "This follows on the back of stopping separate planned engagements, including with the President of Ireland, Catherine Connelly over the last number of weeks and I have not agreed further activities or events. "I do not take this action lightly. "The situation surrounding the First Minister’s recent conduct remains extremely serious. There is significant anger, hurt and legitimate public discontent arising from her actions. These concerns cannot simply be dismissed or minimised. This is an exceptionally serious matter, particularly given the responsibilities of the office she holds and the importance of public confidence in the rule of law. "Of further concern is the First Minister’s continuing refusal to recognise or meaningfully acknowledge the depth and legitimacy of the discontent caused by her behaviour. Her approach has contributed to a significant deterioration in confidence and in the working relationship necessary to discharge the responsibilities of our joint office. "Northern Ireland will not miss out. I have requested a separate meeting with the Prime Minister to ensure Northern Ireland’s interests, including the urgent budgetary and funding challenges facing the Executive, continue to be represented directly." More online and on-air from Chief Reporter @jamesgould23.
