What a superstar Beset has been for us - quite a journey, and great to see her do justice to a special pedigree.
There was no fairy-tale ending for Beset at Saint-Cloud yesterday, but what a wonderful mare she's been for us over the last two years with three Listed race wins and a Group 3 placing. She now goes to the Sceptre Sessions at Tattersalls as lot 1471 on November 30th.

Why do people serving in shops, cafes nowadays often add "today" onto their questions? eg. "Would you like milk, today?". How does the word "today" help? Isn't it obvious that if I want milk I'd like it "today"? How would they respond if I said "No, I'd like it a week on Tuesday please."
