I hadn’t seen my dog in about an hour.
She never leaves. Ever. She’s either right here or next door. I don’t track her. I don’t need to.
But I was testing AirTags because I want to put one on a drone in case I lose one again. So I opened Find My and checked her location just for the hell of it.
It said she was at the boat launch. A thousand feet away.
I know better. I almost texted the neighbor. Almost. But the pin looked so damn sure of itself, so I grabbed the keys and drove over.
By the time I got there the location had already jumped. Now it was an abandoned baseball park five miles away in the next town. “Was here two minutes ago.”
There are psychos in this world. I’m usually the rational one. This time I trusted the tech.
I called the police from the car. Voice tight. Told them an AirTag was saying my dog had been taken and was currently in a deserted park. They met me there.
I stood in empty right field with a cop while the map kept insisting she was “here.” Nothing. No one. Just dirt and weeds.
Then the text came in from the neighbor: “Yeah she’s over here. Been here the whole time.”
I opened the Ring camera. There she was, yellow Lab, walking back onto my property like nothing had ever been wrong.
I looked at the officer. He looked at me. The abandoned baseball field looked at both of us like we were idiots.
I drove home slower than I left. The little white puck still hanging off her collar, quiet now, as if it hadn’t just spent the last hour trying to convince me someone stole my dog.
No warning. No “this location might be complete bullshit.” Just a clean, confident pin that gaslit me into involving the police over a dog who never left the neighborhood.
Bluetooth beacons. Random phones. Delayed reports. Zero accountability.
AirTag sucks. #apple

My house burned down. I lost everything. I can’t rebuild. As a 42 year old man with 2 kids, I’ve had to move into my parents’ house, and I’m getting attacked for that? This is journalism? We’ve sunk so fucking low that getting our elections even remotely secure now means groveling and begging a bunch of corrupt, self serving pieces of shit in the Senate to do the absolute bare minimum.
Like passing basic voter ID that a massive majority of Americans want.
That pathetic reality alone should make your blood boil and prove just how rotten and bought off the whole goddamn system is.
These assholes would rather protect their rigged game than protect the country and we’re the idiots still pretending they give a single fuck about the Republic or We the people.
