Floating Greenhouse in Space
Week 6 Auto Flower Growing Vlog! (Bottom Defoliation + Early Bloom regime) Started with defoliation and went over why I do it, the strategy I try to follow, and cleaned up the bottoms of all 4 plants. Then ran through this week’s feed and the last 7 days of how each plant grew. Ended it with a Volcano Hybrid balloon session that someone O_O mysteriously loaded (should have been uploaded sooner, but i have been sick :( starting to feel better though!) Discount codes! Chopped today. Day 81. Two Juice Pops and two Slime Machines from Speedrun Seeds. One tent got the Cake flush from CropSalt. Those leaves faded hard O_O yellow with some purple. The other tent stayed on a low EC finish. That plant stayed taller and greener up top. I haven’t pulled any test nugs yet, so I don’t know if the finish actually changed anything about the smoke. I’m just trying it again because last time the Cake plants didn’t have that green taste I used to get. This is only the second time I’ve used the dehumidifier for the dry. Last time I went easy on it. This time I put it on medium. I’m trying the Sharkmouse 5-day approach: First 48 hours — 72°F / 55% RH (~1.2 kPa) to pull surface moisture Next 24 hours — 74°F / 52% RH (~1.4 kPa) to move the water from inside the buds Last 48 hours — 75°F / 48–50% RH (~1.5 kPa) to finish it AC Infinity dehumidifier sitting in the tent, set to 55%, with a vent pointed at the bottom so it’s not blasting the buds. Govee hygrometer double-checking the numbers. The idea is the same as last time. You’re not really drying for a set number of days. You’re trying to move water out without locking the outside of the bud first and without cooking the terpenes. Higher VPD early, then back it off. Dark the whole time. Gentle air only. Whether this actually works better than a slower 60/60 is still up in the air. I won’t know until I open the first jar. This was a B- run for me. Still making mistakes with timing and feed, but I’m getting a little closer each time. Autopots and CropSalt continue to make the day to day stuff easier. If you want the AC Infinity dehumidifier or anything else from them, code is “novacotton” for 10% off. Autopots is “autopotnova”. CX Horticulture is also “novacotton”. If you want to see how I actually grow, I have a vlog series on YouTube and I post everything I do. It’s all public on novacotton . net too. Gonna try to sneak a run in before the American Autoflower Cup in January. Won’t be able to enter though ’cause I’m a judge 🤷 I’m gonna go with Night Owl’s new skunk line so I can’t wait! Keep on growing O_O

Tried doing a weekly Friday Space for a bit. Most weeks it was basically me talking to 2 people (or nobody). Message received. Scrapping that idea. Gonna get blazed and put that energy into game developing instead 😂 Cheers 🤘 (Not mad at anyone, just think the algo is caca)

THE SHARKMOUSE DRY 101 O_O (Or ¿why some growers think 60/60 is too slow?) In Dry & Cure 101 we went cold, dark, and slow. 60°F, 60% humidity, 7 to 14 days. There’s another camp that says that’s slower than it needs to be. Sharkmouse Farms dries in about 5 days, warmer, and they say the jar comes out better for it. Both camps want the same thing: get the water out without losing the terps or growing mold. They just disagree on how fast the water should leave. Let’s look at the other side.

9) How do you know it worked? Same as any dry. The jar tells you. O_O After it goes in the jar, the humidity should settle around 58 to 62% and stay there. If it jumps above 65%, the inside wasn’t done. Pull the buds and let them breathe. A lot of serious growers and labs track water activity instead of jar RH. Around 0.55 to 0.65 is the common target range for flower that’s dry enough to stay mold safe without turning to dust. Then cure like normal. Burp, watch, and give it weeks.

10) Fin? So which camp is right? O_O Honestly, both can produce great jars. 60/60 is slower and more forgiving. Sharkmouse is faster and more precise but needs a controlled room. The physics behind both is real. The head to head proof isn’t there yet. The real lesson is the same one from every thread in this series. Know what your numbers mean, control what you can, and check the result instead of trusting the method blindly. If you’ve run both, tell me which jar won. I want to know. Keep on Growing O_O

YouTube’s business model is wild O_O Lets your channel grow... Audits you for technicalities the second you’re making real views... Pulls your monetization... Still runs ads on your videos and keeps 100% of the money O_O If they couldn’t run ads on unmonetized channels they’d stop this overnight. They literally profit off screwing creators Has this happened to anyone else? O_O
As of yesterday my true crime/mysteries Youtube channel (Lazy Chill Zone) is demonetized. The reason? "Generic content." Despite 12.5 million views and 7.5 million watch hours over the course of three years, my content is now "generic" according to Youtube's AI moderation. I appealed the decision, and it was upheld, despite no one having ever watched my appeal video. My livelihood is being destroyed by bizarre AI moderation decisions. Please reconsider this decision. @YouTube @TeamYouTube

The close ups 🕵️
Day 77 Tent A (6.6 Gal pots) & Tent B (3.9 Gal pots) 2 Juice Pops & 2 Slime Machines! (speedrunseeds) I'm tired boss 😩 🤣 Gonna chop tomorrow or Saturday and hopefully my new beans come in. If that's the case I'll have to juggle things around, because I need to start my seeds no later than November 1st for the next run. I'll be doing a skunk run with Night Owl and I want it ready and cured somewhat to give out at the Autoflower Cup. If I can't make it in time I can at least press some flower and give out flower rosin, since you don't have to cure it to get good flower rosin. These plants were really fun though. I found out I'm burning my plants with my EC during weeks 6-7, and I might need to bump my potassium and calmag up during weeks 7-9. Genetics make this difficult because some are gonna take more than others and some are gonna like different ratios. I consider myself a noob because of that. That experience only comes through trial and error with a lot of different strains and runs under your belt! It's why I really respect a lot of the old heads in the community 🤘 Anyways, I'll document the harvest and dry. I bought some Grove Bag knockoffs that I want to try alongside a glass jar with a vivi pack and some Og Grove Bags. I also have hygrometers to confirm what's going on! Oh right, I'm flushing one tent with a low EC feed and the other with Cake from CropSalt to see how they react differently. I Want to compare the taste and stuff too 🤷 Want to know exactly what I'm doing? Watch my vlogs available on YouTube, X, Instagram, and Patreon! DRY & CURE 101 O_O You can grow the best plant of your life and ruin it in ten days. Most people think the work ends at the chop. It does not. The trichomes you babysat for three months are still sitting on that plant, fragile, volatile, and one hot dry room away from being gone. Drying and curing do not add anything to your weed. They decide how much of what you grew actually makes it to the jar. This 101 series is for new growers who want to finish strong.

10) Fixing mistakes? Over dry and under dry are both fixable, mostly. O_O Too dry? Two way humidity packs, usually 58 or 62%, can bring jars back up slowly. Skip the orange peel and bread tricks. They add moisture, but they can also add mold and weird flavors. Too wet? Take the buds out and let them sit on a rack for a few hours, then try again. Do not seal wet buds and hope. Mold? That is not a fix situation. Moldy flower is not something to smoke. Toss affected buds and check the rest closely. You cannot undo a hot dry. Terpenes that left are gone. But you can stop making it worse.

11) Fin?/How long should it cure? O_O Two weeks is the minimum most growers will tell you. Four weeks is where a lot of flower really starts to taste like itself. Some strains keep improving well past that. Once it is cured, store it cool, dark, and airtight. Heat, light, and oxygen keep slowly turning THC into something weaker the whole time it sits. Harvest timing decides what was in the trichomes. Drying and curing decide how much of it survives. Storage decides how long it lasts. You did three months of work. Give it two more weeks of patience. Keep on Growing O_O
