Today, we proudly recognize Don Bartholomew with the NSAA Outstanding Service Award for his years of service and dedication to the NSAA State Cross Country Championships. 🏅 Don Bartholomew spent 36 years in Nebraska education, starting as a PE teacher and coach before moving into counseling and administration at several Nebraska schools. He retired in 2003, but his NSAA service goes far beyond that. Don introduced coaches' education classes and taught them across the state, hosted district events as an athletic director, and officiated volleyball and basketball. He also served as a track starter for 30 years, including at the state track and cross country championships, earning the NSAA 30-Year Track Starter Award. In 2001, he was named Regional Principal of the Year and served as president of the Regional Principals Association. Thank you, Don, for your remarkable service to Nebraska student-athletes! 👏

And they’re off! The final race of the day is underway at the 2026 NSAA State Cross Country Championships!
