India's first Industry Driven, Global B. Tech degree in Computer Science and AI | Build your Tech Career

1/5 A CS degree alone may no longer be enough to get hired. India's tech industry is evolving rapidly, but are engineering graduates keeping up? Here's what the India Skills Report 2026 reveals about the employability gap and how @nst_edu is addressing it.👇

4/5 And we're beginning to see the results. 98.3% of eligible 2nd-year NST students secured paid internships in 2026. With an average monthly stipend of ₹23,149, students are gaining real industry experience while still pursuing their degrees.

5/5 Companies including Ridecell, Emergent, Licious, SalarySe, Vyomic, Drona Aviation and FischerJordan are hiring NST students. For us, these outcomes reinforce a belief: engineering education should prepare students to contribute to real technology, early in their careers.

India needs more young builders. At @nst_edu Pune, 98.3% of 313 students in our second cohort secured internships in Year 2, while 17 are building startups. They are taking on real-world challenges, and we are proud to be part of their journey. Build what India becomes. 🇮🇳
I have spent nearly a decade building in education, and have interacted with 1000s of students. One belief has only grown stronger: this is the generation that will transform India. They are confident, ambitious and not afraid to take the unconventional path. Proud to play our bit in shaping them. And a big update: 98.3% of our first batch of Newton School of Technology Pune students are doing an internship just after their 2nd year, 17 students are building startups of their own. Here’s what some of them are working on 👇 📡 Raman is analysing satellite-signal interference at VyomIC, which is building a private satellite-navigation constellation for India. 🧠 Birajit is building infrastructure for evaluating AI models at AfterQuery, YC’s fastest unicorn. 🕹️ Devendra built a system to control a drone from a web browser in just 20 days at Drona Aviation. 💻 Sanjana gave up a paid internship to become a committer on the open source Apache Grails project. India has seen this before. In 1963, parts of our first sounding rocket were carried to the launch site on a bicycle. Fifty years later, India launched a mission to Mars. Today, private Indian startups are building rockets of their own. It took generations of engineers willing to take on problems bigger than anything they’d attempted before. This generation has its own problems to take on: 🛰️ Can every phone in India navigate on Indian satellites? 🤖 Can India build its own frontier AI model? 🏭 Can we build our own TSMC? India needs to build. India needs tons of builders. What do you want to see young Indians build?

Unpopular advice for anyone who wants a career in space: Don't start with rocket science. Start with maths, physics and code. Then build one serious project. A must read interview of our Math Lead Gurpreet Singh, who spent 7 years on NavIC at @isro : hindustantimes.com/education…

India’s next chapter will be built by entrepreneurs. Glad to join CM @gupta_rekha and @ashishsood_bjp at a Delhi Government roundtable proactively seeking founder input on policy. Brought an on-ground perspective alongside fellow founders shaping India’s startup ecosystem.

This is the belief we want to instil in every @nst_edu student. The world’s hardest problems are ours to solve too.

About five reactors on earth are chasing net gain fusion by 2030. One of them is being built in Bengaluru. By 12 people. Thrilled to be in the room and watch the tokamak fire. The ambition of Indians is unbounded. More power to you @PranosFusion @Shauryapranos 🇮🇳

Some lessons can't be taught in a lecture. They have to be experienced in a room full of builders. At FutureLab by NST, students discussed building defensible AI companies with Marc Manara (@OpenAI ) and Pratik Poddar (@NexusVP) #FutureLab #BuildingWithAI #NST

What makes an AI company defensible as frontier models become widely accessible? At FutureLab by @nst_edu in Bengaluru, @nhlhomer of @OpenAI and @pratikpoddar of @NexusVP joined founders, technology leaders and NST students to explore what makes AI products endure.

Access to AI is no longer the moat. The real question is: what makes an AI company hard to replace? On 6 August, FutureLab at Newton School of Technology is hosting Marc Manara (@nhlhomer ), Head of Startups at @OpenAI , for a fireside chat and AMA.

What will we discuss? • Product or impressive demo? • Build it or use a frontier model? • Growth spike or repeat customer value? • Feature advantage or enduring moat? No trend forecasts. Just the hard questions founders face today.
