Happy to announce that I have accepted the Head Baseball Coach position at Eureka College! I’m thankful for my time at Philander and I’m excited to hit the ground running at Eureka!
Noah Suarez has been named Eureka College baseball coach.
He comes to @ECRedDevilsBase after a notable stint as head coach at Philander Smith University in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Welcome, @nsuarez48!

Division III has a real opportunity to modernize.
Athletic scholarships? 5-for-5 eligibility? Expanded competition schedules?
Youth sports, recruiting and college athletics look nothing like they did 30 years ago. Why should the DIII model remain largely the same?

No brainer for @NCAADIII to increase academic opportunities with 2 additional semesters:
Double Major
Add minor or certificate
Grad School opportunities
Graduate and transfer up 🤷♂️
Not to mention the athletic benefits of development, remove outdated redshirts rules, etc…
Division II adopts age-based eligibility model, effective for the 2026-27 academic year.

NEWS: The NCAA Rules Subcommittee has approved the usage of ABS, sources tell @BaseballAmerica. It can be used in any game where the tech is available (includes Trackman). This still requires Baseball Oversight Committee approval but is expected to be implemented in 2027.

Paul Skenes on Ryan O'Hearn's 3 homer, 10 RBI game. 🤣
"I think it was kinda selfish, to be honest. Everybody else is getting on. Home runs are rally killers.
You hit a 3- run home run or a grand slam...and what now? There's nobody on. Nobody can drive him in. Good for him, I guess."
