Our mission is to support development, distribution, and adoption of open source software like #ROS and #Gazebo for use in the robotics industry. Formerly OSRF.
Here is your #ROS and open source robotics news for the week of Oct 12th, 2026:
🤖ROSConCN kicks off in Shanghi
🤖@ROSConUK kicks off next Wed
🤖ROS By-The-Bay @ @IntrinsicAI w/ @youtalk
🤖Run RViz clone in your terminal
🤖DendROS colors your ROS terminal output

1/ We introduce TrackEverything: a 3D point tracker that tracks all points across all frames of long videos (1000+ frames).
Our key idea is to tie computation to unique 3D scene content rather than redundant 2D pixels in a video.

We built a robotics data engine with Astra-level performance at 125x lower cost. And we are open-sourcing the weights today! Introducing Flora, a suite of open models to parse the physical world and turn raw footage into rich training signals.
Flora already powers our in-house data engine, labeling 200K hours of videos a day on 500 GPUs. We created it to scale the frontier for robot learning. Now you own the weights too.
Flora gives you:
- High-quality, timestamped captions to curate and filter human egocentric and robot data;
- Dense progress rewards for quality control and RL post-training;
- Rubrics scoring for real-world benchmarking

driving causes blur and makes the model uncertain about many pixels, which get knocked out from the point cloud to minimize error in downstream modules.
🚨 Delhi-based Stingray Robotix (@stingrayrobotix) has successfully tested their underwater hull-cleaning robot.
It can magnetically crawl along ship hulls, uses cavitation jets to remove biofouling and can go as deep as 200 metres.

Custom ROS 2 interface board, onboard compute, sensors, and a lot of wires. All of it has to work underwater.

ROSCon India 2026 is finally here 🇮🇳
Hosting ROSCon has always been a roller coaster of learnings & emotions, a 1000+ people across the country joining in for a 3 day event, uff 🤯!
But the success stories of all previous editions is something that keeps me going to make sure that we bring it back every year!
Although a little later than usual, we’re back, hoping to see an even larger quantum of folks joining the community of Robotics in India this year!
I don’t know how many of you have attended earlier editions, but if you have, would love to hear your stories ✨

ROSCon India 2026 is official.
📅 2–4 December 2026
📍 JN Tata Auditorium, IISc Bengaluru
Hosted by @rigbetellabs | Powered by @artparkindia | In association with @OpenRoboticsOrg
What began as a community of ROS developers has grown into one of India's leading platforms for the robotics ecosystem.
It brings together developers, researchers, students, startups and industry leaders.
Huge Congratulations to @PallaviSaha10 and Team to pull this off!
India needs more events for Physical AI!
