New: A deep dive into the big business of welfare and means testing. Deloitte has made a fortune on error-prone eligibility systems for programs like SNAP and Medicaid. We went to Arkansas and talked to folks struggling to get help in a system designed to break them.
NEW: The biggest welfare scam in the country is run by a consulting giant. Deloitte has made over $6 billion running error-prone eligibility systems that make it harder for Americans to get the healthcare and food aid they rely on. We investigated the big business of welfare.

HALEY STEVENS: Anderson, this is a broader point about what's going on in our party COOPER: It's actually not. It's really just a question of why you changed your mind STEVENS I haven't cast my vote yet COOPER: So you might change your mind again?

Maybe there was something to the GOP getting rocked in every special and off-year election for the past two years
I think this is easy to explain. Past NYT polls did not weight by past vote and only controlled party at the sampling stage. Unsurprising that the move to using the “synthetic past vote” variable in the weight would control D bias when non-response among Rs is so high

These polls also have Ds up in every gov race, the closest being Kansas and Texas, both D+1 Texas generic ballot is R+1
Well, either it's a biblical polling error or a biblical wave

Irish Catholic calling a Jewish guy a shanda. What are we even doing man
The only despicable betrayal is by Sen Schumer, a complete Shanda, who has thrown the Jewish people under the bus in his pursuit of power. Supporting a vile antisemite like El-Sayed, because for Chuck Schumer being a Democrat matters more than standing up for the Jewish people.

I talked to former Gov. Jim Blanchard about an hour ago. He had a unique view of Stevens' last 48 hours, having had dinner with her and her fiance, Jason Turkish, on Friday. You want the details? Here they are, and, trust me, you're going to want to read. pro.stateaffairs.com/mi/elec…

Ashley Moody NEVER walked the line with you @TeamsterSOB. But ok brother. Shout out to all the rank & file Teamsters that are voting for me. I will ALWAYS STAND WITH YOU!
Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien here. Just voted in the State of Florida for the first time, and very proud to have cast a ballot for @SenAshleyMoody. Sen. Moody has been extremely helpful working with the Teamsters to protect workers’ pensions, defend good-paying jobs, and support well-funded union apprenticeship programs. The Teamsters look forward to working with Sen. Moody in her role on the Senate HELP Committee to pass the Faster Labor Contracts Act and get this critical legislation signed into law to protect American workers.

Knives are out
Haley Stevens had a “bizarre obsession” with Mallory McMorrow, per a source familiar with the inner workings of Stevens’ Senate campaign: “Nearly every thing Mallory said or did caused some sort of break down from Haley…Even after Mallory dropped out of the race, she and her fiance wanted to continue to attack McMorrow” “On the day Mallory dropped out, Haley refused to call her. Instead, staff drafted a text for Haley to send to her. Haley still refused to send it, despite telling staff she was going to, and only sent it after a journalist from Politico reported that Haley had not reached out to Mallory yet.” “There was a video that Haley attempted to film saying that Mallory had run a great race and encouraging Mallory’s supporters to vote for her, which ended up being scrapped because Haley sounded so insincere when praising McMorrow and her campaign.”

In retrospect if Stevens had shown up to the event with Clyburn instead, there was a good chance she would’ve endorsed Rogers while standing next to El-Sayed
Telling Stevens to not come to the event was a bad move by aes but only like meh level bad and her crashing the hell out just makes it good even because she has gone completely insane

Apart from everything else it’s particularly funny that this is the one positive case she made for why she’s backing Rogers, and Rogers not only won’t do this, the assistant attorney general for civil rights would sue to stop it from happening
