Software development jobs grew 10% over the last year while the overall market declined 5.8%. Quite the narrative violation.

Explain turns Reddit into a TV station – redditwatch.tv 🍿 See the thread 🧵 below for details:

Here's a graph of how Explain has grown since we launched it 👇 Almost 200,000 explainer videos created in September alone 🤯 I know people say this all the time: but I truly did NOT belive it would grow this fast. Feeling privileged to be able work on a product that so many people enjoy. Thank you to everyone using it 🙏

Ran my first ever half marathon this weekend. Worst two hours of my life. Here’s me in severe pain getting overtaken by one happy smiling person after another👇 Did finish though, in 2:04. Next goal is under 2 hours.

Holy shit! @scrimba's Chrome extension is insane. You don't even need to know what Scrimba is. Just create a free account, install the extension and give it a try. It literally takes 2 mins, thank me later. PS: This is not an ad, nor an exaggeration. If anything, A FAVOR✨

Dump your images into Explain and it'll turn them into a video 🎬

🚀 Scrimba is looking for freelance coding tutors! We’re looking for engaging and motivated teachers to work with us on a freelance basis to create the courses that make other platforms jealous. You’ll be familiar with common web dev technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, React/Next, a Node.js framework) as well as Python. But we care just as much about your ability to explain, engage and connect with learners as we do about the technologies you know, especially if you’re a quick learner! English does not need to be your first language, but you must have clear, easy-to-understand spoken English. You’ll be able to devote at least 30 hours a week to producing Scrimba courses. Bonus points for: * Python data analysis and/or backend experience * DevOps knowledge * Familiarity with the Scrimba platform * A good sense of humour 😁 Interested? Drop Head of Education Tom Chant (tom@scrimba.com) a message with a little about yourself, your experience, and a link to an example of you teaching (could be an existing YouTube video, or why not record something on Scrimba!?) or to ask for more info. And if you know someone who’d be a great fit, please tag them or share this post! 📷 #Hiring #Freelance #CodingTutor #WebDevelopment #JavaScript #React #NodeJS #Python #EdTech #Scrimba

Quick video on how to utilize Scrimba Explain. The automatic Pull Request videos have been super useful for us internally as we're drowning in PRs these days, like so many other teams!

Generated learning guides in translitetared language mixes. IN SECONDS prompt: "Explain why the basics of Linear Algebra are important for AI Engineers in modern Hinglish." romanized scripts with local narration is gold for international students. #ai #education #learning

Many people have requested our "Explain" videos to be more thorough, so we just added a "Professor" option. It goes one level deeper and tries to build your intuition from the ground up, using all the visual aids it has available.

After 10 years of teaching people to code, we finally learned how to center a div 🎉
