The other day, I said Wizkid dey fvck up, and a lot of you were in my mentions cussing your mothers because stanship won’t let you say the truth for once.
I still maintain that opinion. E dey Jonze big time!
Let’s assume that he didn’t attend Zlatan’s wedding because they are not close, aren’t friends, or perhaps he wasn’t invited. That one is excusable and understandable.
How about L.A.X? That guy has always held Wizkid in high esteem. He was his label artist for a long time, and he doesn’t hide his support for Wiz. In fact, they are friends.
L.A.X has had about 3–4 different wedding ceremonies, from court to traditional to white wedding, and so on.
Wizkid didn’t deem it fit to attend any one of them.
When Wiz came on Twitter to congratulate him, he quoted the tweet and said, “Egbon mi no miss Lagos own lol.” You can tell that the quote carries the tone of someone who isn’t happy that he missed the first wedding. It is giving, “If you rate me, show up for me.”
Yesterday was the Lagos wedding. A lot of respected personalities like former president GEJ, Governor Dapo, the Emir of Kano, among others, were there, but guess who still refused to show up? Yeah, you guessed right — Wizkid.
You can come here to insult your mothers for all I care, but you cannot claim to rate someone and consistently neglect them, especially on their big days.
How long has Davido known Zlatan? Look at how he was everywhere, driving him around and even joining his groomsmen on his wedding day. Look at how he shows up for everyone. When Israel DMW got married, Davido attended as a friend, not a boss.
I’m not even trying to make comparisons, as they are different people. But no matter how introverted you claim to be, it will always be clear when you don’t rate someone like that. And I think Wizkid doesn’t rate most people, including LAX. This is not a good thing.
Even as a superstar, especially as one, there are people you make exceptions for. Your guy dey do wedding, no be say you dey on tour, but you still shenk am. E no make sense at all.
