"Keep Japanese media Japanese" doesn't mean creators can't be influenced by media outside of their culture, it means they should keep creating through the unique perspective they offer and free from any "global" standard that seeks to suppress or change it for so-called modern Western (or any non-Japanese) sensibilities.

And just one more thing - the survey was allegedly put into the paper by the New Women's Association (which is not marxist) via a QE code. The Google doc for it is now gone, and no one else online seems to mention it outside of that linked blog post. Very odd...
